You actually show the resistance range, thank you. (about 1.5 k-ohm for body temp warm to 16 k-ohm for freezer cold - what my resistor is reading, i.e. not broken)
Great video, tutorial was clear and simple. The temperature sensor you located behind the icemaker, is it a temp. sensor for the fridge or icemaker? I have similar refrigerator, the freezer freezes well but fridge side is experiencing temperature fluctuation between 40-55 degrees. What do you think is the problem?
If the tempeture sensor is freezing your freezer the fan isn't able to blow the proper air into your refrigerator. Thats why the fridge is getting hot. I'm having dame problem. I just bought temp sensor and going to put in today.
how many temperature sensors are in your refrigerator (one, two or three)? Is there one in the freezer section as well? How did you determine that you had a ~4k ohm thermistor? Did the sheet come with the exact replacement?
Thank you for the video, there is actually a temperature sensor on the freezer for my refrigerator. I am not getting the set temperature on mine, either in the freezer or the fridge. it is running 45 when I set the temperature at 37, and the freezer is set -3F and I am getting like 15 F. Do you think it is the temperature sensor. The compressor seems to be running fine, with no click and the condenser fan is on as the condenser coil has temperature difference to the ambient about 30 F. Thank you in advance.
What means kenmore elite? I want to find the temperature sensor for my Bosch KAG93AIEP/01 with FD: 0104 and Z number:00453. Can you help me please? Looking since days and nobody can help me 😢
Hello I hope someone can help, I have a Whirlpool fridge freezer, freezer section is good (cold as it should be) fridge section temp control is set to 2c but it doesn’t get to that, temp hovers around 5-6c, no ice on coils, damper vent works it opens and closes, no dirt on condenser coils, something is telling the camper door to close early. Would anyone know what I can check, Fridge is cold but not cold enough. Thanks
If you are getting 3.1kohm at 70F then you probably have a 2k5 ohm thermistor with a beta value of 4000k. There are online thermistor calculators. The beta value depends on the manufacturer but 4000k is ok as a ballpark figure. All thermistors are rated at 25C or 77F.
My temperature sensor is hanging down..I haven't noticed it before.. does it matter where it is.. it seems to have fallen from somewhere.. Ice maker still working
Awe looks SO easy. But wait grasshopper! I can’t make heads nor tails outta my GE Monogran Ziss480nxbss temp sensor diagram! How the heck do I get to my temp sensor!!? Amazon $7 part, repair guy wants $550 to replace! Eeeerrr

Thank you, massive help to diagnose ice maker problems!
Thank you 💕 for tech us👍👍
Excellent easy described 👌
Very good explanation. Greetings from creators from Indonesia. And always success
Tks for that bud.
My lg side by side 2 door is getting not defrosting is that the same sensor.

Good information.
where did you get the temperature sensor for Kenmore elite

Do that chart standard to all sensor?

Same here. My whirlpool freezer freezes alright but the fridge doesn't cool at all
@@truhabits7338 try your damper door, open fridge door press door switch and see if there’s air coming out from the vent

Great. Now show us a fridge where the temp sensor is not so childishly easy to access.

It's NOT kilo ohms. K stands for THOUSAND!!!!!
KILO MEANS 1000, MEG MEANS MILLION BOTH TERMS CORRECT
Kilo is a thousand.
