At 5'2", size 8-10, and in the middle of nowhere Midwest, I made peace pretty young that I would never be a model. Its nice to see the modeling industry slowly begin to embrace diversity though. 🙌
As a mother agent myself, its important that the models who are often minors need to inform their parents about these business conversations. Aspiring models who are legally underage must have their legal guardian to co-sign the mother agency agreement.
Do they look after and accompany these young women that they've scouted to prevent them being put in abusive situations that have happen in the past i wonder.
Agencies that are actually reputable pay very close attention to their models and their safety. If an agency allows a model to work in an abusive situation that agency is not reputable and should not be allowed to be doing business
I am 5'2'' and very skinny asian girl. Since, model industry has been out-of-the-box, it has given me new challenge and dream to become a model. I truly believe that new generation model industry embraces me. And this coincidental video encourages me and gives me hope today :)
i’ve always wanted to be a model but i’m 5’3, size 4. its bittersweet knowing that the industry has changed but not enough for me to fit in. you’re either extremely ambiguous, opposite of the stereotype or the stereotype.
I’m glad that she went over that you don’t have to pay-to-play. But it’s a shame that they only showed standard size models when the industry has evolved way past just that.
wow, jasmine is so beautiful. duh, i know she is a model, but still. also, she seems like a very cool grounded person, and its nice to see her coaching her girls (women) in such helpful constructive positive encouraging manner :) also, i like that she is an Aussie (that explains a lot about her coolness), and her voice and cute accent are included in her aforementioned beauty :) bye, dear lil 5'8" Aussie mentor coach mother agent ❤ :)
I don’t know if I would be proud of this. Introducing them to the possibility of eating disorders, predatory men and being treated like an object. It’s looks aspirational but there’s plenty of evidence that it sucks.
@@bbumblebtrue - but this industry seems to have an overabundance of evil that most other careers don’t have. You only need to see the 60 minutes Australia documentary about Gerald Marie to see the inherent problems with modelling.
I’m not saying all models Scouts are bad, but please do your research before you sign or do or go anywhere. Make sure you do your research. There are so many horror stories online about women and men being taken advantage of by these fake model scouts or sometimes real scouts. The modeling industry is very lucrative and easy way for a minor to get taken advantage of.
girl, fuck society beauty standards, there are many girls who were not considered beautiful back in the 90's but now are sought after, society beauty standards keep on changing so find your beauty because im sure you are beautiful

What an amazing business , Jasmine's girls must be so lucky to have someone so caring for them that can help them succeed !!

What gorgeous ladies! Be sure to support them in the direction of education, too! Modeling doesn't last forever.

One of the girls was bigger than the others. She would definitely not be considered a traditional-size model.
I just got scouted and I didn't understand what was happening I'm excited its a good a reputable company.
Its always nice, to learn something new. Thankyou!

also inherently it’s just glamourising being a meat billboard for an industry that is destroying the planet
To be honest, that's the entertainment industry as a whole, not just modeling.
I agree with both comments I also think these days a lot of modelling can be prostitution
Plenty of girls want to be models, they appear to be educated and able to make their own decisions. Don’t see the problem.

I miss the days when models were beautiful.
Same now anyone can be a model.
@@dm-jf5uu Back in the day, they were 'discovered,' because of something that was unique.
I'd like to be a model but I don't have the face for current society's beauty standard :(
You can be a Instagram model
