My guess is going to be around 17-19 seconds for the guy and 21-22 seconds for the girl. Maybe that's an underestimate, but people really over estimate their capbilities for sprinting 100m and think they are way faster than they actually are. I've heard people say sub 12 seconds is the average, which I can tell you from someone who ran a 13.3 all out 100m in my freshman year of track, sub 12, 13, 14, or even 15 and 16 is definitely above average. Edit: Those people were actually pretty good for non sprinters, most people would be around closer to 20 seconds.
@@Bweyg yes I’ve found people overestimate their times also! Which is why I thought it would be interesting to put it to the test! We will be having more non-sprinters run the 100m in upcoming videos 🔥 I also find that people underestimate how far 100m is, and I also remember thinking this when I first started running the 100m again 😅 I was also impressed with their times, they are both very active people (just not specifically trained for sprints) I think for less active (and arguably more “average” people) this would be closer to 20s!
The lady behind the camera said “Aww” at Joes first rep 😂😂 and snort laughed on the second rep 😂😂
@@willbilson7210 haha yeah, it was a fun day of filming for sure! 😂😂
Hahaha the commentary "Look at 'im go", "bless him", so funny.
It was a funny day of filming for sure 😂
Update - After 8 weeks of training Joe has just ran 11.45 seconds…in his dreams

Have you been always been a sprinter previously?

Great video. I’d love to see the opposite of this. Professional sprinter tries distance running.
@@HardcodedHamster thank you! appreciate it 👊🏼 I’d pay good money to see sub10 sprinters run a marathon 😂
Nice film - good fun.
