Thanks so much, Jared. Great tips and walk-thru. I just purchased 3 GoPro Hero 5's to film a client video shoot in a few days. I'm a pro videographer, but this my first gig ever to "GoPro" (as it were). Filming a reenactment of a 2-vehicle accident from the perspective of each vehicle's driver, so I needed best POV cameras. (Also bought the headband accessories.) Your help was timely and much appreciated!

Jared your video was very informative to me for this product & being that Im an older guy at almost 67 years young I am really not that much up on the latest tech...Your way of explaining the features has made me more confident for buying it...I have produced,directed & shot videos since the early days of the consumer video revolution with an emphasis on the military in fact 3 in particular were on cable TV here in the St. Louis area...I have always had a passion for the science behind the movies & TV & you have helped me toanother another level of knowledge...Thx for sharing.

Thanks for the great video. What resolution settings would you recommend for recording driving in my car or at a car show? Camera would be inside the car. 4K or 1080??? FPS also??? Most likely slow motion would never be needed. Main target would be a computer, UA-cam, or TV. My past videos were kinda grainy or just unclear. Sorry I'm a newby to this camera. Also on the SD card speed is the 1800x the speed? As in 1200x would be slower?

I know it's an old video, but still very helpfull. But about the quick capture, I noticed than if I use this feature, my external mic doesn't work, and the gopro do not record any audio. It happens only with the quick capture...
i have a gopro 5 black when i play back the recorded video on my laptop .The video stops for on second and starts again for 4 seconds have i got it on some wrong setting ? help
