I call it being lazy. I have family members asking why they don't hear for me. Truthfully, I don't care about it. If we're good we're good so nothing to worry about. Also It's awkward for me to have a conversation with people. "Hi, how are you?" Good, how are you? "Great, so anything new?" This and that "How is work?" (Me thinking seriously?) Then there is the break (Me thinking what can I ask or say next, please help God) That is my conversation.

If your not ready to deal with whether someone will respond back to your text within "your" timeframe, then don't text. You should not impose your "expectations" on others. There may be many reasons why others may not respond back within your timeframe. We quickly assume others are just ignoring us...and if they are, well that's their issue. If are you being triggered by rejection...well pay attention to how you feel and work on yourself. Allowing yourself to be upset or frustrated by someone else's actions just reflects how codependent you are to that person. Work on yourself and be at peace. Don't relinquish that emotional power to others. No one is perfect. We are all flawed. If my friends dont respond back on time...it's their loss. They can catch me next time i'm available. Whatever happen to simply just dialing the person you are trying to reach? Especially, if its really important. If they don't pick up...well, that's what voicemail for. It's not that serious. When it comes to dating, I’m not too keen on the whole texting all day thing because in my experience I just start to get annoyed with the person. I figured out the problem with this show. I love this show but it can feel super awkward to me sometimes. In my opinion its when they speak to the audience/us which is always. It’s like yelling/preaching/looking for applause for every comment. It makes me uncomfortable as I’m sure others too. If you look at other talk shows with multiple host they talk to each other and it flows a lot more naturally. Even when these ladies are talking to each other they really aren’t lol. I know I’m just one person but I think this one little thing will help the show tremendously. Which I want because I’m happy for these ladies and their success.

To be honest, I am guilty of not replying right away, but it’s for a reason. I usually reply at a general timely manner, but I have some friends who I know if they text me we will be texting for a looong while. With those friends, I usually wait until I have time to actually engage the conversation, so we can enjoy it rather than prolong it throughout the day.

I mean with texting, it’s not that I don’t want to respond to you, but I also have a life (work, family, etc.). I want to make sure that I respond to the person properly, so sometimes it takes a few days to respond. Similarly, I may be too tired to text. Now, if a friend hasn’t responded to my texts in a week, I may have an attitude, but for the most part, I am okay with friends/family taking their time to respond to my text. The only time I might be upset is when I am waiting to hear back about urgent plans...

I'm the type of person who just don't look at their phone 24/7. I can get a message, reply back to it, put the phone down for the next 4 hours, and see I have 12 messages in a group chat.
I usually don't text back right away unless it's urgent or only requires a one sentence kind of answer. But I never text/check my phone regardless if I'm in the middle of a conversation with someone else. I think it's better to be present with people or at work, in school etc then it is to be quick to reply. I can wait.
This is true, I'm HORRIBLE at texting and the main reason is that I don't really prioritize my friends. If I really someone then I text them non-stop but then that wears off quickly.

I feel like I'm the only person of my generation who hates social media, I don't like texting either, unless it's my best friend, we get chance to meet only once a year so the only way of communication for us, is through texting (calling isn't an option for us either). If there is a person sitting next to me, I'm not even gonna use my phone. I love real human intrection, not that virtual kind. And I'm glad my parents raised us that way.
It depends. There are some people who wanna have a whole conversation via text. I don't answer calls or respond to texts if I don't have the time to chit chat. When so have time I will get back to you. Now there are some people who just wanna ask a quick question or something and I will text them back no problem cause I know they are quick.
Nothing irks me more than when I see the "read" alert on the text knowing the person has read if yet either doesnt respond right away or waits a day or two to respond. But hey, I understand ppl are busy with their own lives but then they better not be mad when I start doing the same.

I don't text people back when they wished me a happy birthday. But apparently that is expected so now I just send "Thank you". But I don't have no friends anymore or have little contact with family anymore. I find it really hard to have conversations with people, never knowing what to say. I don't feel the need to text anymore, if we're good we're good. I hate people who have fake conversations with you. Such people ask "How are you?" and before you can give an answer they just walk away. "It was nice meeting you". Don't say things or say sorry if you don't mean it, that is my philosophy. I don't call or send texts to my family members and friends of the family or my friends that I had because I was always the one taking the initiative. After a while that gets boring, it's supposed to be a two way street not a one way street. I have family members that are not interested in me whatsoever cause I am not "interesting/vibrant enough", especially one of my oldest nephews and his wife. When they got married in front of city hall, I was there and after a couple days I sended them both a text and mail asking how it felt to be married. To this day I still haven't gotten a reply. Literally a week later they got married for church just for the show, none of them actually believe in God, it was just a great location for taking pictures. When I asked his wife at their wedding party for the text her answer was "I haven't had the time, I was so busy" (in my head I smacked the bejesus out of her and said in my head Yeah right). I knew that both of them are literally addicted to their phone and that they constantly text with their friends. In that week time, you are not going to tell me, that once you receive a text and read it that you don't have the time to text back "Good, thanks for asking" knowing you are constantly on your phone. I just wanted to say straight to her face "Bullshit Bitch". I didn't do it though cause I have a heart, a conscience and no tolerance towards fake or drama people. Now if either one of them talk to me it's because my nephew his godmother is my mom. So if they talk to me then they think they are on good terms with my mom. But I know God and his karma will get them for me. Or when I win the lottery, they can expect diggity squad. Only people that matter/are truly interested to me will receive something.

Remember the good old days b4 social media ..u wouldnt be in contact for a few days and sometimes till u see someone next time and it's fine cause life happens and ya get busy..now I think sometimes SM causes imaginary problems..like I hate that now everything is a problem..if they don't reply it's like omg they not interested etc anyway sorry for the rant!

I mean with texting, it’s not that I don’t want to respond to you, but I also have a life (work, family, etc.). I want to make sure that I respond to the person properly, so sometimes it takes a few days to respond. Similarly, I may be too tired to text. Now, if a friend hasn’t responded to my texts in a week, I may have an attitude, but for the most part, I am okay with friends/family taking their time to respond to my text. The only time I might be upset is when I am waiting to hear back about urgent plans...
A few days. I only do that if I was typing and forgot to press send, I don't know how I just get side tracked but waiting a few days to respond to a little text is a long time
Love XOXO I think it depends on the text! For example, some of my friends take days to respond to my texts regarding catching up. Now if my friends and I are actively making plans, I am more likely to be an instant texter.

Jonnie baby fair enough! It also depends on the relationship. Close friends and family...much more leeway compared to acquaintances. To be honest, I rather people call me than text.
It depends on what the text message is about. If is just small talk and I don't want to talk to you, then I will take forever to answer or not even answer. But if it is an important message, a question or something like that, then I will respond right away.

I had to respond to this one. Life is real. Some of us are busy & have a lot going on. If you really need a response quickly, just call. Phones can do that too. If you text me I'm going to assume its not urgent and I'll respond at my earliest convenience but not a moment before. People talk too much and do too little these days anyway. Sheesh. I'm the type of person who just don't look at their phone 24/7. I can get a message, reply back to it, put the phone down for the next 4 hours, and see I have 12 messages in a group chat.
I only reply right away to select few people but other than that I am super guilty of not replying straight away.

I usually don't text back right away unless it's urgent or only requires a one sentence kind of answer. But I never text/check my phone regardless if I'm in the middle of a conversation with someone else. I think it's better to be present with people or at work, in school etc then it is to be quick to reply. I can wait.

This is true, I'm HORRIBLE at texting and the main reason is that I don't really prioritize my friends. If I really someone then I text them non-stop but then that wears off quickly.
In my circle we are all adults. We got full time jobs i don't expect you to text me all day. Also taking into account who is always on their phone when there are with me in person

I feel like I'm the only person of my generation who hates social media, I don't like texting either, unless it's my best friend, we get chance to meet only once a year so the only way of communication for us, is through texting (calling isn't an option for us either). If there is a person sitting next to me, I'm not even gonna use my phone. I love real human intrection, not that virtual kind. And I'm glad my parents raised us that way.

It depends. There are some people who wanna have a whole conversation via text. I don't answer calls or respond to texts if I don't have the time to chit chat. When so have time I will get back to you. Now there are some people who just wanna ask a quick question or something and I will text them back no problem cause I know they are quick.

Nothing irks me more than when I see the "read" alert on the text knowing the person has read if yet either doesnt respond right away or waits a day or two to respond. But hey, I understand ppl are busy with their own lives but then they better not be mad when I start doing the same.

I don't call or send texts to my family members and friends of the family or my friends that I had because I was always the one taking the initiative.
After a while that gets boring, it's supposed to be a two way street not a one way street.
I have family members that are not interested in me whatsoever cause I am not "interesting/vibrant enough", especially one of my oldest nephews and his wife. When they got married in front of city hall, I was there and after a couple days I sended them both a text and mail asking how it felt to be married. To this day I still haven't gotten a reply. Literally a week later they got married for church just for the show, none of them actually believe in God, it was just a great location for taking pictures. When I asked his wife at their wedding party for the text her answer was "I haven't had the time, I was so busy" (in my head I smacked the bejesus out of her and said in my head Yeah right).
I knew that both of them are literally addicted to their phone and that they constantly text with their friends. In that week time, you are not going to tell me, that once you receive a text and read it that you don't have the time to text back "Good, thanks for asking" knowing you are constantly on your phone.
I just wanted to say straight to her face "Bullshit Bitch". I didn't do it though cause I have a heart, a conscience and no tolerance towards fake or drama people. Now if either one of them talk to me it's because my nephew his godmother is my mom.
So if they talk to me then they think they are on good terms with my mom.
But I know God and his karma will get them for me.
Or when I win the lottery, they can expect diggity squad. Only people that matter/are truly interested to me will receive something.
