Very good Mae, and interesting, thank you ! You covered making the core briefly but It would be good to see more on how the case is made - molded. The bell will only be as good as the mold and thats where a lot of the work is.
Omg ive been watching you UA-cam channel May for ages love it ive just finished watching you on the narrow boat you are thinking of buying to replace yours didn't know you filmed other stuff as well love this type of content hope to see more of it
I have a thought, please excuse the non bell terms. When trying to position the top piece over the sand mold, you could put guide pins (as long as necessary) in 3 of the bolt holes of the bottom piece at 120 degrees or so to each other then line up the top piece with them. Then drop it down and pull the guide pins out.
@@grilnam9945 The important thing is to not only centre the case over the core but have a near metal tight seal hence work needed to get a good fit. The case would be lifted off or float on the molten metal hence the clamps.

Wow, what a change in the grounds and street. I grew up on Selbourne St, round the corner, and haven't visited the foundary in around 30 years.
You should come back and see what were up to!

Do you get request for different frequency for different purposes and do you test the bells
Interesting questions, maybe we will answer them in a video sometime soon! Bells are always tested, yeah!
Really nice film, Mae. So interesting. And it may help to invoke hell, god and jesus christ while casting bells. 😂
Brilliant! Glad you enjoyed it
