You said it. Those beans and rice are just things to fill your belly. GIVE ME MEAT! And I’m a big lamb fan too. I’m a Navy veteran and was last there for Veterans Day in 2022. Thank you for your service!

I was army and my friend was air force. The lamb is definitely the best cut of meat here to me! Thanks for your service as well!

@@NOLAGent1 I love the Army. It’s nice of them to give people that couldn’t make it in the Navy a place to serve! And it was nice of you to bring your friend along even though the Air Force isn’t really the military. 😁

We can't all be Marines or Navy SEALS but that Air Force chow is hard to beat. My friends that went to Air Force basic training told me they were served steaks and got weekends free to go off base in civilian clothes. The Navy definitely wins the uniform contest as the Navy and Marines seem to have the largest variety of uniforms of any branch. The Army ks trying to add more uniforms back into the rotation but it won't be anywhere near what the Navy has. I do question that blue camo they had for awhile even more than that awful digital camo horror the army adopted for too long before moving to multicam.

@@NOLAGent1 oh, they’ve got the BEST of everything! I was stationed at the CB Base in Gulfport and when I wanted to live the good life I’d head to Keesler AFB in Biloxi. I had a Navy dentist (aka butcher) put me through serious pain to fix ONE filling! But then they sent me to the Air Force dentist at Keesler to have all FOUR wisdom teeth pulled, and it was the most painless thing I ever had done in my life!

I love Brazilian steakhouses but the price point means special occasions only. Glad you enjoyed your meat feast. Thanks for posting!

The 50% Veterans Day special price was actually around what I paid them last time I ate here a few years ago for the regular price. They have a big Thanksgiving buffet here in New Orleans at The Fairgrounds Horse Track where they hold Jazz Fest and this year they were selling the tickets for the buffet for $175! Last time I went to that it was $25 and the last time I even looked at the price it was $50. Inflation has gotten scary crazy! At those prices I'm thankful I still have relatives that cook for Thanksgiving so I can eat for free today. Happy Thanksgiving to you and I'm also thankful for you watching and your great tips on new spots for me to try out 👍😀

Why do you think it is so hard to get people to work now? The wages for workers have really increase after the lock down. I have talked with many and they are making much more now. Just asking for your opinion. Loved this video. Thanks for sharing it. 💗👍😊

People are going where they are treated better. LOTS of Louisiana service industry folks have relocated to the Gulf Coast and other areas all around the country. Most of the service industry folks I meet in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida moved from the New Orleans area. In Tennessee and Georgia I heard the same story.
The crime is one huge factor along with some people (and some large events in the area having large numbers of people) that refuse to tip. Many of the businesses outside of Louisiana also offer a far higher base wage along with health insurance. Some places in Gulf Shores were offering $30 an hour plus tips along with room & board during the pandemic! Most service industry jobs in Louisiana don't include health insurance (a few places do) and just offer the base pay rate of a couple of dollars per hour plus tips.
Tourism is waaaay down in NOLA these days too. Multiple MAJOR long term conferences and conventions paid huge money to get out of their long term contracts in NOLA as so many of their attendees were crime victims. Nashville is taking over the niche that New Orleans used to hold. More and more people are leaving NOLA daily while Nashville and other cities have double or triple digit numbers moving to them daily. Louisiana is the ONLY state in the South that has been and continues to lose population. The long term projections for New Orleans and Louisiana don't look good. None of my friends children are moving back after college as there are just no good jobs for them or they don't want to be back in New Orleans as there just are not many young professinal people left for them to be around. There are still jobs in healthcare and a few other fields but those jobs are also in most other places that are currently looking way more appealing than Lousiana these days.
My income is waaay down these days as well and I don't know how much longer I can justify staying around 😔
      Thanks for watching!

I have NEVER seen NOLA with so few people out and about in the Quarter and on Magazine street. People seem to disappear when the sun goes down and most of the late night spots ain't dere no more...

I just hate that the steakhouse doesn’t season the meat that well.
