Hey Casey, thanks for the insight ... I've been looking at the Gladiator for a bit. I am going to wait a little bit longer to see what is out in the next year or so. But you taking the time to help people understand the break down of features is really good of you !!! As for videos coming up, just how your going to build it out and what kind of adventures your going to get into with it, really miss the BC trails !!
I looked at the Mojave too and I really wish that the electronic anti-sway disconnect and front locker were options on the Mjoave trim. Gosh darn you Jeep!
Another thing about the advanced safety group: it's very expensive to have it recalibrated every time you have a broken windshield replaced.
That transfer case seems to be a hot topic, I'm glad I don't have the short Rubicon transfer case it would be annoying with the tracks over here. All the best wishes for your new gladiator!
You will love the dark saddle seats and silver dash. Dark saddle is much richer than depicted in the Jeep builder and I personally prefer the muted interior the silver dash provides - just like the 4xe. The weathertech floor mats are a perfect fit and seem to cover just a bit more surface area than the oem units. Thanks for the heads up on the interior connections for the auxilary switches!
I feel like this video will be so beneficial to folks looking to purchase a Gladiator. I’ve definitely had my eyes on one but never had a breakdown of what style maybe best for me . Thank you Casey !
Rubicon transfer cases are always available as pull offs. I would consider the Mojave and r&r the TC and add the front locker.
I've got a Sarge green Rubicon wrangler with black leather interior. Never noticed the red dash versus door color thing. Probably because it's only visible when the door is open. The dash is not as shiny as it looks on the web page. I agree with your assessment of the advanced safety group. We really never used ours in the year we've owned it and my windshield replacement quotes are astronomical due to "recalibration of safety systems ".
I had a 2011 Grand Cherokee with the dark saddle colored leather. Nicest interior I’ve ever had. Wish I had it in my JT Launch Edition. The Red with Dark Saddle is gorgeous.
We have very similar options, I picked a few more that you didn't. I knew I was going to be putting on a Rebel Offroad 2/3rd Height rack, so I added the back-up sensors and blindspot detection. The backup sensors are awesome offroad, as JTs end up doing 3 point turns more than other Jeeps. The blindspot is a huge help with bed rack on the freeway. I have the 21 JT Diesel Rubi w/ 6.5" MetalCloak/Evo hybrid lift, bedlocks, 37s, Adams driveshafts, bed rack, LOD bumpers, Warn 10k, tent, etc. I live about 1hr from the Rubicon Trail, but the Sierras are full of great trails to take the family camping in places that nobody has been in a very long time, also we are usually the first tire tracks of the season even in late summer. They are great trucks, but front ABS wheel speed sensors are poorly built, and my lift w/ long shocks doesn't appreciate the wiring length, but they also die on road prematurely while being on constant backorder.
Congrats Casey. Looking forward to the upcoming videos in your Gladiator.
I agree 100% with everything you picked out and have been looking to buy literally the same exact build as you!
Enjoyed the build walk through. Look forward to the content!
I have a 2020 Rubicon gladiator firecracker red with saddle interior, good choice!
The adaptive cruise control is fabulous.
💯 on the off camber hills and licking the sway bar. Ozark Overland doesn’t lock theirs up and I don’t understand why not. The roll bar reduces the body lean and makes the truck safer.
magna makes the transfer case I see them all the time on ebay... Advance Adapters now makes a transfer case for JL/JT allows up to a 5:1 crawl ratio. The magna TC on the Wrangler is ok but I prefer the AA
Check out the Anvil Overland Dash bar. Really think you'd like it, love mine over all the other options for phone mount, cameramount, switch mount, & Tablet mount.
Remember as you build, Selec Trac/Rock Trac (Rubicon) full time four wheel drive cannot be ordered on the build site. You have to make sure with whomever orders your truck orders them. This along with limited slip should be ordered imho...
