This takes me back to about 2 years ago. Me and a group of about 5 friends dug out a water temple and turned it into our base in a world but then two of them go into a fight and didn’t wanna play with each other anymore which lead to the world falling apart and now I haven’t been in it for atleast a year and a half

2:38 joe actually just described perfectly why gaming isn’t fun anymore **PERFECTLY** NO ONE CAN DESCRIBE THIS ANY BETTER THAN HE DID RIGHT HERE he is actually speaking so much facts at this time stamp he’s so right, 10 years from now I’m going to look back on my teenage years 11-17 when I’m like 27 I’d say (I’m 17 currently) and he’s so right it’s not even the game, it’s about how we look back on ourselves and reminiscing on those good times spending with friends & family, I remember looking back to when I was 7 and remembering those good times spending with my friends & others, and also my 7 year old self thinking “ oh I can’t wait to grow up it must be so cool being an adult ” and years & years later nowadays I miss being a kid and not growing up ya know? The cycle never ends

Honestly I don't even remember any of my old worlds but the nostalgia really hits when I see the old tutorial world.
Near the end of the video was pretty much exactly what I was getting ready to comment. You can be efficient as can be while still taking your time and cherishing each small accomplishment. He's right on the mark though, we play the game once and after that we continue to learn and beat the game quickly and more efficiently. We forget to be proud of the smaller things we've done, it's like joe said, keep the iron armor on for awhile, build and keep building, tame wolves and make a pack, build areas for each of your pets. There's an endless amount of shit you can do in Minecraft, as long as you remember to feel proud of the smaller accomplishments, it will lead to you being more proud of every accomplishment as a whole and you can continue to enjoy the game while simultaneously creating more joyful memories to look back on.

Bro I genuinely started crying, bro got me singing the old Minecraft theme song from the Xbox 360. Just that console name brings me back, I’d give an arm and a leg just to be able to watch those memories again, Hell I’d give my whole body to experience them again. When they say your life flashes before your eyes before you die, I hope the longest part of that is those fond memories.

the part where he said minecraft shows your personality is so spot on. A couple months ago I played on a server with some friends and we had those exact people; Me, just building all the time, one guy who mined for two days (8h), and one who always, ALWAYS enslaves villagers the first thing he does on a new world.

Gaming definitely isn’t the same but I still find it fun. Just as time goes on it gets harder to link up with friends and for some it just stops all together. I’ll always cherish the memories of Minecraft, L4D, Borderlands, Battlefield, and many others with my buddies.

The same thing goes with creative mode in a way. I use to just build whatever I wanted with no care for how it looked, but cause it was fun. Now I’m always here wanting to build something big and detailed and don’t play for more then 20 minutes.

I’ve played Minecraft since Pocket Edition LITE, I remember how happy I was when I got it on my laptop. Making a whole city because I had so much time, I def miss being a kid and having the time to do that. Attempted to recreate my university as a joke for graduation but lost motivation, so little time now and I have more fun working but it’s what inspired my career in architecture so I gotta give Minecraft credit 😩

My friends either say “minecraft is boring” or they only want to play on pvp servers. I really enjoy watching things like HermitCraft because it’s the closest server I can find to what minecraft was like back then. If I could have a chill server like that with some friends it would be so fun, but I guess that was just for when we were younger.

I remember when I had a realm and someone on the server had a room that had nothing but chest so the whole time I though that was a storage room and took things and put things in the chest. Turns out someone was missing diamonds and I didn’t know until the server fell apart that I was the one who took those diamonds

i’m currently playing in the world I started with my girlfriend, we’ve made it a primary goal to get to the end of the game as slow as possible by starting any cool project we think if. it’s been a really slow and fun project so far and you’re entirely correct on saying playing minecraft shows peoples’ true personalities

I remember that during my first Fortnite game in season four, I bush-camped on the the small hill overlooking dusty divot. When storm hit I ran from it and died in the hut right next to dusty because someone was inside. I remember every aspect of that game. I couldn’t say it all in this comment.

8:59 the servers are 100 percent worse. The charm of old minecraft servers were they were made and managed by one person. Now most servers are just massive businesses. I miss the old faction servers

The fact that it was Christmas time and the school work load wasn’t heavy and I didn’t have to work a job was more fun than FORTNITE actually was back in 2018. They were the good days not cause of the game, but because of the time in my life.
