As there are many comments about the beading on these windows and doors I’d just like to clear something up. These are aluminium doors and windows NOT uPVC. The beading system is different. On uPVC all beads are snapped in internally and that’s the job done. On aluminium the bead is snapped in either internally OR externally and the glass still feels fairly loose. After those beads have been fitted there is a rubber gasket that is pushed in around the perimeter of the glass on the INSIDE that makes the beads impossible to remove from either side unless you first remove that gasket.

So Even on the fixtures that your fitting the beads outside your wedging up inside? Also little tip. Spray a little water or glass cleaner around the glass where you wedging up, acts as a lubricant

Tip 1 the manufactures put the beads in without glass ,with glass in beads may be to tight theres no harm in filing the bead down slighty makes a world of difference.
Tip 2 Toe and heel the glass so it squares the sash up and prevents binding or rubbing of the stays etc, using a wooden or plastic paddle.
Tip 3 spray the area lightly with some soapy water when rollering the rubber gasket in , it will go in alot easier.
Bead note , unless the burglar can get inside to take the rubber out ,that bead isn't shifting, its locked in with compression , internal/ external doesn't matter unless your replacing the glass in the rain lol

Have recently done my first DIY door and window instal for my garden gym so was nice to watch this. Two things would’ve been great to cover in a little more detail : (1) I fixed my cill to the threshold first and then dropped the frame on. I noticed you guys fixed the cill to frame first then dropped the whole thing onto the threshold. Is one way better than the other or is it just down to personal preference? And then definitely would’ve liked a bit more time and explanation of toe and heeling. I found that the most difficult bit of my instal.
