Morning Dennis! That’s your call amigo. Rockport’s elevation is 7ft. Beryl is forecasted to produce 5-10 of rainfall, with up to 15 inches in isolated locations, and a storm surge of 2-5 feet. Many are predicting landfall around Corpus Christi, which could increase the storm surge in the Rockport area. Whatever you decide, best of luck and God Bless. Stay safe 🙏

Hey Dennis! Things not looking so good for Rockport/Port Aransas. Yeah, here in the Houston area it doesn't take much at all to flood! In fact there was a report out a few years ago that the Spring area is actually sinking! Probably partly to blame because all of the development, concrete, and lack of grasses and trees to absorb a lot of the moisture. It's definitely an unfortunate thing. Hope it doesn't get as bad as many predict but regardless we're gonna fill up our gas tanks this morning and get as prepared as we can. Luckily this time around we do have a generator if we lose power. We were out at least several weeks when Harvey hit. Stay safe my friend no matter what your decision. 🙏🙏🙏

Hey Calvin. That is correct about Ben's house. I guess it's been a few years, but I remember finding it after I heard you mention it on your channel. He was kind of in the front few blocks before the divide that kind of goes down the center of the development for drainage. right now it's sunny skies with a nice breeze and Rockport. At the beach. Picked up my bag of trash and walked my one mile now. I'm gonna sit in my truck and cry for a while.😀

Thank you friend. If Rockport continues to look like a direct hit, then I will probably leave as requested by emergency services. Honestly, I would like to stay in film, but I don't wanna put other peoples lives in danger. We shall see.

Good morning Dennis!!! Hopefully Hurricane Beryl doesn't get stronger than a category one Hurricane. Harvey strengthened rapidly just before it hit land I remember watching the weather as it was headed towards land and in just a few hours it went from a catagory one to a category four. By the time we realized it was going to be as bad as it was it was too late to leave so you have to be careful. The track For Beryl seems to keep shifting North. Have a wonderful day my friend!!!😊

Hello friend. Where I go depends on where the storm is tracking. Last night it was supposed to go around the back of us which would have rolled out going west or even north to San Antonio. I was just going to sit here. Now they're tracking it right towards Rockport which means I would most likely go west. I'm just keeping an eye on all of the updates. I get.

We're into our next major heatwave here, so I hope my truck's AC holds up as I chase a train today. When I ride the train later today though there won't be AC. Hope your AC is working well. Good morning friend. You know I just got to Rockport Beach and the amount of trash people have left behind is absolutely disgusting. If everyone wouldn't litter and pick up one piece of trash, it would free up five or six workers here at the beach to actually get projects done and make the beach better for everyone. Instead, they need 4 to 6 people every day going around and just picking up trash. Unbelievable. I would love to see policeman out here, especially during the holiday just writing up ticket after ticket for people who litter.
Absolutely! That's frustrating people are so inconsiderate, getting ticketed would reduce some of that.

My two cents, and that is about what it's worth: If I were you I would assess at Noon on Sunday. If it's headed directly at Rockport or north of there I would head due west, to be more likely to not be on the *dirty side*. At least an hour inland for less chance of power outages. Maybe Choke Canyon? Or Palmetto? I'm sure you'll figure it out, it's certainly not your first rodeo Dennis. Cowboy up!

Good Sat morn. My Boss & family went to Rockport on Monday for the week. I don’t know if they are still there, my best guess they are! Lol
They are prepping the beach right now. Removing anything that will blow away and closing all the restroom facilities.

Some of the projections had it curving behind Rockport and going straight up through San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas. I think they've changed that but they seem to change it every few hours.

No beach in Holiday Beach! I tried to be a little nice, but it was not easy. There are various zones in HB with different requirements - how large the structure needs to be, whether it needs to be elevated or not, one zone on the other side that allows mobile homes.
You are right about Harvey, and then he danced around and went over Holiday Beach area there 3 times. He brought us some nasty weather all the way up here.
Oh, that new construction with no shingles is going to be a bad deal if Beryl comes down on it - free shingles for all the neighbors!

Now they’re saying it’s coming in between Matagorda and Houston. Looks like it’s going right over us and Houston about 2-3 AM Monday morning.

Hey buddy. I still have not tried that and there are several places in our little town that sells it. One day. It's actually more expensive than getting a pizza from Domino's.
There is one or two places here in town that are just convenient stores. They look like at one time they were gas stations, however.
