Why are there rules against using slugs on certain targets? Is it because they will be damaged? If so, why don't they just ban slugs altogether. Seems really cruel to DQ Matt for that.

Jerry is a awesome guy, he came to our range twice back in the 90's and put on a exhibitions . I got to fire all of his guns and that was pretty cool. just remember win or lose(or DQ'ed LOL), competition is fun !

@@NvusGhost late reply but basically we shoot with crazy light triggers, and there have been multiple times I've been playing with it resting on the bench and pew. Thankfully just an air pistol so nothing to dramatic.
I generally don’t care about basic safety rules. Traveling with gun and ammunition in separate containers and such but negligent discharge and your not touching a gun with me around.

Like Jerry says, you gotta be the first one on the range and the last one to go home if you want to get good.
If it didn't cost 80 cents a slug and 20-40 cents a round for .223 and 9mm, I'd be at the range all day.
Nobody say you have to shoot 1000 rounds a day, though. Shoot 100, but instead inbetween each shots figure out what you did, where you did wrong, what to improve the next shot and learn them in. Its not just for shooting but everything else you do.

Gun controls allows sane people to use guns in a safe fun way, and stops it being so easy for mentally ill people and criminals getting guns and shooting up a school. Hinds15 I read something awhile back that said his son in law handled the channel and he and Jerry daughter split. So there went the channel. At least that's what I recall reading but I could be wrong.
His daughter cheated on her husband and they strong armed him( the son in law) into a gag order and stripped the channel from him. Neither of them know how to do the UA-cam stuff so the channel is dead.

Wow, that's a dumbass rule. The more I hear about 3-gun the less interested I am (it's to sportsball like for my tastes), however the more I hear about 2-gun the more interested I am.
Jeff at a match just last year we had an RO hospitalized because a shotgun slug was shot at a steel target about 15 yards away. A large piece of lead came back and went through his wrist. It is a serious safety issue in addition to damaging the targets.
Jason Tielke Those targets should be set up properly and most 3-gun events are so safe in the way the course is set up, and the equipment. It's actually a joke in the community "if you finish your first match without a safety disqualification, you did well." Personally I just wanna shoot pistol matches. Maybe some rifle matches. 3-gun sounds way too expensive and involved, lol.
The way InRangeTV does theirs is pretty badass!
Unfortunately a lot of 2-gun matches don't adhere to good shooting ability.
