"I started playing minecraft 3 months ago" >already has built a giant compound 30 times more elaborate and sophisticated than anything i've ever built in my three years playing
I mean, I feel like when we all start minecraft for the first time we all set our goals to be building a dope house/base. I remember when I first started I barely even mined since I was so focused on building a cool house & shit. Now adays whenever I play I just make a small house, big enough to hold all my shit but small enough to build in 10ish minutes. Wish I could go back to those old minecraft days when I first started & didn't even know how to light up my house
"I thought I would have just had to make another world. But I'm glad I didn't have to, as I mentioned this was the only one I've ever made; this is the one I'm comfortable with." Something about that gives me chills. Good, solid, chills.
Minecraft is what you make it. People can play it competitively, in toxic communities, they can play it with friends, on small multiplayer servers, and they can play it alone, in a very Zen way like this gentleman.
Why are older ladies and gentleman learning new things so wholesome and cute?? They’re always so patient with themselves it’s so wholesome and it warms my heart ~u~
Right? there is an elderly lady that has a youtube channel where she plays skyrim and tells stories she makes up about her character. I wish i could remember what her name was, I wanna say it was Shirley, but anyway super adorable
I'm gonna be honest, he's better at Minecraft than me. i might have more technical knowledge, I might be better at combat, I might even be better at building, but I can't appreciate the simple parts of the game like he does. I can't stick to one world and grow it and continue to enjoy. He's better at the game than me because he's having fun and he's more satisfied than I am when I play. This is one of my favorite videos on UA-cam, not because of my love for the game, but because of how genuine it it. Keep up the amazing work.
Is it just me or does his voice make you think he's retelling an epic tale from the past? (Ps. If you hold shift while walking on a platform like the one on the tower it will keep you from falling)

Back in the day I would play minecraft on the Xbox360 with my dad. He didn't really understand the game and would describe things alot how you do in this video, but despite that, even when I wasn't playing with him, he would keep building the world we made together and would show me all he had done when we played again. We don't really see each other anymore, so the way you describe the game and the world while playing brought back feelings I haven't felt in a long time. Thank you
Just found this video 7 years later and enjoyed it very much! As someone who also didn't get the appeal of Minecraft until I actually started playing in my 30's, I can identify with your journey of discovery! I now play by myself for relaxation and also with my brother and nephew and niece, who are continually teaching me new things and inspiring me to get more adventurous and creative with my builds. :) I hope you've kept this world! Thank you for sharing it with us.
"Building for 3 months now" Mate that looks quite complex and extraordinary you outrank most people in this game, and as always I loved your calming voice.
Watching this a year later. This is truly how minecraft is supposed to be played. Not making a world, messing around, and then deleting it to make another one. This man spent a whole bunch of time learning by himself and spending quality time on his world. Minecraft is supposed to be a peaceful game so it really fits. What I'm saying is that this nice man played the game in it's intended way without even knowing the basics. This man is a true legend and a man I respect. I salute you.
Nah i think mc should be played however the player wants its truly a sandbox thru and thru, i have a survival world with massive walls surrounding a self built village, and on the other hand a modded world where i just go around killing and setting up temporary camps Both of them are fun in their own way which is why mc is the best game imo, so much diversity and ways to play
This makes me sad, I know it shouldn’t, but this is the only good memory I have left of my dad and me. I still remember the first world we ever made together. And I remember spending endless hours with him laughing and building random things. That’s what makes me sad, hearing the music brings back those memories so everytime I play I have to turn off the music. But nothing beats the older version of Minecraft that was simple and full of imagination. Man I miss those days, Minecraft is a huge part of my childhood. Maybe I should log in the ol 360 and revisit those memories. 😢
Sorry for your loss. I lost my pop young too, we used to play Pac-Man all the time. We even managed to get to stage 60, he knew all the secrets and tactics. Good times!
Some sweet memories come to me with this video, and with those memories: forgotten feelings, I remembered when I first played minecraft in 2012, there was a special magic, an innocent essence, I remembered an old version of me, a calmer and happier, a simpler life, a flat life, but warm and like I said before: magical. Thank you for this video. Thank you for make my day more warm. Please forgive my english, It's not my mother language, A "Hola y un abrazo" from Mexico

around a year ago my grandmother passed and her, my sister, and i all played minecraft and this video brought pleasing memories of our first time playing, thank you for this calming video :)
Let me help you. By exploring the world I'm quite sure you saw beautiful flowers. Collect them, put them into the crafting table to make dyes. Color the wool you make your bed from, then make a bed with the coloured wool. It's as simple as that.
Charlie Doing Stuff My Grandpa got my iPad and started watching Relaxing ASMR and when he stumbled upon this video he started playing Minecraft since. You helped him with your comment lol
Revisiting this video 4 years later. Its still one of the best asmr videos i know. The camera pointed at the screen making the spacey audio, the careful steps and detailed wholesome explanations. Love it
At the point in the video where he was worried about us making fun of him for knowing so little and being old, I'm pretty sure the few who actually did make fun of him ate so many dislikes lol, nobody touches our wholesome asmr guy
*_my first house was an actual 2 story house with a genuine usable spaced roof and a basement, after 6 damn years later i still make the exact same build every time i start a new world._*
I've had one incredibly amazing world i played on together with an old friend i lost contact with many years ago. We build our bases inside a mountain, or rather inside a hill. We had our own seperate bases but they were all inside that one hill, and we connected them with eachother with hallways and everything. Us 2 weren't the only ones playing on that world, there was 1 or 2 more i think. But i remember loving the base i made so much and being so incredibly satisfied with my work on it, sometimes i only logged on for that base. I kept making upgrades and it just got better and better. It was so satisfying just to walk through it. I really don't know what it was but i was so in love with that base. Anyway that base had a backroom made entirely out of netherbricks wich was made to enchant and make potions in. I lost my account at some point and i was never able to play on there again. That was the same time i lost contact as well. I made it a tradition ever since to always make a special basement or backroom for potion brewing and enchanting out of netherbricks and lava lights. But you wanna know the saddest part? Years later i called him on my phone, yes i had his number, found it and remembered the old times again. I called him and guess what? He didn't remember me. He had no idea who i was, i told him my old playstation name and he still had no idea. Needless to say i ended the call on a short notice and i was pretty sad. I still think about those times and how much fun i had with him.
@@x-arya-x That's so sad bro I was just thinking about how I can't ever make everything feel like the old days, but this is another level of sadness. My old ps3 broke down and my dad threw it away, so all of the old worlds I had are now gone. He probably also threw away the disc for the game. I'm sorry about that bro.
Today was a rough day for me, decided to give this a watch and almost started sobbing when the music came on while he was just happily talking about his Minecraft world. You can hear how happy he is about his accomplishments in his world.
I don’t know why but this brings me so much joy he started playing the game just because his nephews were interested in it and he wanted to know why they enjoyed it so much
2:52 The music chiming in... Video games that try to make me cry will always fail like 80% of the time...but this...the old textures...the music...the sound of the water...the hotbar...everything...I cried myself to sleep....
i was just about to make a comment like this… it gave me chills, old minecraft music is unreal man. the memories and nostalgia are like none other. isn’t it so interesting how many people can universally relate?
"My message to everyone: when it comes to real life, think about what it took to get to whatever point you are now. Think of the hard work, the sacrifice by you, and perhaps by someone else that might have helped you get to wherever you are in life, and don't blow it...don't carelessly roll the dice with the Zombies when the consequences can be devastating." This is why I love your channel so much
To answer your question regarding the coloring of a bed, there's 2 ways to do so: 1) You take your old bed, craft a dye of your liking (by putting flowers, redstone, lapis lazuli, ... in a crafting table) and put them in the table together. 2) You obtain 3 wool of the same color and make a bed like you would usually. This wool can be obtained by right clicking a dye on a sheep! Then you can use shears to obtain the colored wool whenever the sheep appears that color!
PLEASE continue doing this forever. jojo asmr only did about two of these and unfortunately stopped for whatever reason, and you are my only hope for this. please continue, i will subscribe! it's very soothing and fun all at once, OMG. look how many views you got! it's worth it, please continue. :) subbed because i believe you will continue, or at least i very much hope you do ;D
The way he is so patient and takes things one step at a time while slowly explaining things is so awesome to me. Because people seem to always be in a rush trying to get things done but we have so much time on this earth and we should just take our time so we don't waste all of it
I checked your channel yesterday because you didn't upload for so long. I was actually a bit worried. :/ Glad to see you're fine! :D I'm really not a fan of Minecraft, but I adore your videos, so this one can't be bad! :)
Well I just popped in to see how well the Minecraft video was being received and I see this comment at the top of the page. Thank you. I appreciate your concern Donna, and the concern of everyone else too. I'm fine and not going anywhere. Btw, I was interviewed last week by a health and wellness website and when asked who are my favorite ASMR-tist, I gave four and you were the first one I named:)
Y'know this is oddly nostalgic, like it reminds me of exactly what it was like when I started playing, a dozen years ago, figuring out how to do stuff, making little safety holes to escape monsters, the castle even looks a bit like my first fort, though I guess all of us start off with a lot of cobblestone.
Thank-you so much for, "Showing us your world." I Love your voice, it's soft with a touch of base. I also Love the way you walk us through, with a gentle story like narrative. Thank-you so much for this~ ✨☮️✨
It's quite something the impact that this video has had on so many of us. Many who watched it felt inspired to download Minecraft and create their own worlds, me included. Along the way it spawned the Realm of Patronville where we can get together and build amazing things, but at the end of a day or a long week I always end up back here. This for me epitomizes what Minecraft is all about in my mind; a humble showcase of the result of many nights spent plugging away trying to build a better life within the game. The great thing is that this world is still easily recognizable over 90 episodes later. Even though much has changed, much has stayed the same. It's been a privilege watching you progress throughout the years. Stay golden R!
I appreciate everything you said here Izzy. Yes, much has changed over time, but the goal is still the same...to survive and make life better...much like we do in real life. Thank you sir and even though you did not ask for it, here is a link to your Channel and I encourage those reading this to check it out and subscribe to Izzy. ua-cam.com/channels/q3nuyFx3SS96Lrzk_QS5nw.htmlfeatured
Starting from when he started to speak about his world as Sweden played. Sweden, no matter what happens in minecraft wether it’s an update, a completely new world, this music will always be timeless, triggering memories of the game no matter what, wether it’s a memory of the last time you played or your first world. The amount of nostalgia in this video is incredible, even if it’s not intended
i only started playing minecraft in 2015 or so, but i can say that sweeden feels nostalgic even though i never heard it intill 2022. every time i hear sweeden playing while im playing in my cousins realm, i turn up the volume all the way and just hum along to the song. same with other tunes, even modern ones.
Whenever I’m having a hard time, I always come back to this series, I just want to say how happy this makes me, the absolute joy it brings back into my life. This guy is just amazing. Please keep yourself safe out there
I love how genuine he is about everything he does. The way he carefully steps around corners in case there's a mob, the way he builds everything out of cobblestone, the way he mob proofs everything but not perfectly because he's new, building giant outposts for his mines, it's awesome. This gentleman truly enjoys this game just like the rest of us did at some point.
This is genuinely one of the best videos on youtube, not because of the asmr, but because it feels like you're just sitting next to him while he leads you around his fortress. The calm soft voice, the fact that he's camera recording instead of screen recording, it all feels so comfy. Honestly love this channel so much. Keep up the great work and stay positive!
Im just finding this series, 7 years later. Minecraft really is a game to unite many at any point. Your base is really impressive. Cant wait to see more!
I feel more comfortable with older people, im a pretty old-school type person. Even though I am young. Keep up the good work best asmr channel in my opinion!
This might be my most favorite Minecraft video, the whole world emanate first experience energy, the every now and then bases so you can feel safe while making a trip knowing that you have some backup place, the whole mining operation thing, the walls the glass in the ravines, man, I wish I could just delete all the knowledge I have on Minecraft and start fresh.
I love how he explains everything he does and why, very creative ideas just one example is the way he made a trench to fight monsters with one block deep and slabs overhead 🦔❄
I actually got inspired by this guy, but to build a home inside an ocean temple underwater (without draining water around it). I sponged the inside, added some signs for the room names, and made it look pretty good! It only took me one day to make since I only built on the inside of the temple.... Finished today on August 10, 2021 at 4:27 PM
Well one day when we all be older, we still can say that minecraft made our childwoods, and with luck, our sons do the same, and minecraft will never die this way
@@DestroyerOfWeebs and i totally agree. minecraft will never die even if it gets deleted. sure hope i didnt jinx the millions, if not trillions of minecrafters out there😬
I wish more people recorded the screen with a camera, I know it's not standard or technically impressive but there is something so comforting and nostalgic about it. Seeing things happen in front of or around the screen like pointing gives me intense tingles.
Minecraft before 1.13 was such a simple game, every time I see new players playing for the first time before 1.13, just makes me smile. Not to say that the game became worse after 1.13, it’s just that Minecraft became a bit more complicated, and just has a million mobs and blocks.
In my first world I was probably flying around in creative, blew a few things up and then deleted the world. If only 5 year old me knew the significance the game would have on my life.
I remember it only because it was a hard time figuring out when to harvest wheat. 9(?) years old me had to ask parents and that seems comical to me now.
My first world was on minecraft demo, before I knew you could google things about minecraft. One time I found a swamp and was amazed to show my friends there were trees with vines in minecraft. I also felt like a genius when I figured out you could mine in a staircase instead of straight down
I remember the first time i played but not the world since i was so scared that i literally don't do anything and die for a lava pool, even without any zombie i was scared af when night comes, i never played minecraft for months after that, i didn't even know that minecraft was a big game with a big fandom, i was playing in my Xbox 360 (i miss it) and the version is so old that don't even have multiplayer local, or Iron golem... i'm sorry if my english is bad Edit: I still remember that the atmosphere of playing a old version in Xbox makes my head hurt, something about it makes the game scarier for me, also it have a translate "credits" to my language, and that's weird because in PE it was a lot of years for they add that, and when they add at some point, it was english, so i was the only in years among my old friends that know what was written in the end. I miss these old days. Again, sorry if my english is bad
I love this video so much it's so special I've watched it so many times. I love how creative he is with how he does things and how curious he is. I also love how he really values feeling safe in his base and has taken many precautions to feel that way. I wonder if he ever played with his nephews🦔❄
I love little old men so much y’all don’t even know. I found this at 4am because I can’t sleep and I’m probably gonna watch this whole thing so I can appreciate this mans world because I literally cannot disappoint him even if he wouldn’t know 🥺
😢 I'm tearing up, this video, these comments, the whole vibe is so wholesome. Looking at this is so nostalgic, i have been playing minecraft for about 7 years and I am missing the old days so much right now.
This video has given me some of the strongest tingles I've ever experienced in over 5 years of watching ASMR videos. I paused for a minute and I'm still feeling a buzzing in the base of my skull. Thank you, RelaxingASMR.
I played this game first 13 years ago. It was an escape from a difficult childhood and it was pretty much the only thing that gave me peace. Watching this made me cry of intense nostalgia, I could feel everything I felt when I played in my first world through you. I remember in 2013, people were already talking about "the good old days" of the game. 10 years later, people still say that about versions of the game that *I would think are new*. And it makes sense, I think this game can be so profound to those who play it that it makes a most people feel really deep nostalgia. Thank you for this video. Reminded me to be thankful for this game. And to play it again. It's probably the best game I have ever experienced.
This is a very heartwarming video. It shows that videogames aren't just a "childs thing to play with", but that everyone, regardless of age, gender, race can enjoy them the same. So many times I've listened to my parents say "why do you waste so much time on that computer, why not do something productive". And they're right. It's not productive. Its something that brings me joy, calm and enjoyment. This video is just an older gentleman, exploring today's sources of entertainment and enjoying it
Don't ever delete this world, most of us remember our first world so well, but don't have the world, it's a sad thing because we all have so many memories, and nothing to refresh the memories.

Wow, you are right. I do still remember my first world. That crazy, been so long haven played in ages. Haven't thought about it in ages.
Right in the feels
In my first world I made a house in front of a lake and then I drowned in that lake because I didn't knew how to swim
Believe it or not I've managed to keep my first ever world 😀

Watching yet another year later, and still agree with this statement.
agreed
Nah i think mc should be played however the player wants its truly a sandbox thru and thru, i have a survival world with massive walls surrounding a self built village, and on the other hand a modded world where i just go around killing and setting up temporary camps
Both of them are fun in their own way which is why mc is the best game imo, so much diversity and ways to play
Ain’t no "intended" way to play Minecraft :D
As a long time minecraft player, only now i realised that the best way to play minecraft is to just be calm and do what you normally dont do.

This. I still make the same birch plank/cobblestone hybrid building every time I start a world
I've had one incredibly amazing world i played on together with an old friend i lost contact with many years ago.
All my builds are same just with different blocks
@@x-arya-x That's so sad bro I was just thinking about how I can't ever make everything feel like the old days, but this is another level of sadness. "My message to everyone: when it comes to real life, think about what it took to get to whatever point you are now. Think of the hard work, the sacrifice by you, and perhaps by someone else that might have helped you get to wherever you are in life, and don't blow it...don't carelessly roll the dice with the Zombies when the consequences can be devastating."

This is one of the most wholesome things I've ever seen
Ah general kenobi, you are a wholesome one.
To answer your question regarding the coloring of a bed, there's 2 ways to do so:
1) You take your old bed, craft a dye of your liking (by putting flowers, redstone, lapis lazuli, ... in a crafting table) and put them in the table together.
2) You obtain 3 wool of the same color and make a bed like you would usually. This wool can be obtained by right clicking a dye on a sheep! Then you can use shears to obtain the colored wool whenever the sheep appears that color!
Thanks. I need to find me a downloadable, printable quick-reference for Minecraft stuff and keep handy for when I'm playing Minecraft.

*he knew. he somehow knew*
when I watched this video I came to the sad realization that I can’t even remember my first minecraft world
In my first world I was probably flying around in creative, blew a few things up and then deleted the world.
I also felt like a genius when I figured out you could mine in a staircase instead of straight down
I remember the first time i played but not the world since i was so scared that i literally don't do anything and die for a lava pool, even without any zombie i was scared af when night comes, i never played minecraft for months after that, i didn't even know that minecraft was a big game with a big fandom, i was playing in my Xbox 360 (i miss it) and the version is so old that don't even have multiplayer local, or Iron golem... i'm sorry if my english is bad
Edit: I still remember that the atmosphere of playing a old version in Xbox makes my head hurt, something about it makes the game scarier for me, also it have a translate "credits" to my language, and that's weird because in PE it was a lot of years for they add that, and when they add at some point, it was english, so i was the only in years among my old friends that know what was written in the end. I miss these old days. Again, sorry if my english is bad
On the cusp of 2025 and this is still an absolute banger
I love this video so much it's so special I've watched it so many times. I love how creative he is with how he does things and how curious he is. I also love how he really values feeling safe in his base and has taken many precautions to feel that way. I wonder if he ever played with his nephews🦔❄

I remember in 2013, people were already talking about "the good old days" of the game. 10 years later, people still say that about versions of the game that *I would think are new*.
