100 years ago Bently, Rolls Royce, Cadillac, and Mercedes set out on a quest to build the ultimate, luxury vehicle. A vehicle capable of transporting you at high speeds in complete silence. Now the technology exists to actually do it. Bravo!
For your electric motor propulsion I had an idea like yours as well but with the GM transmission from their Hybrid Tahoe vehicles. Same setup but GM never utilized it to it's full potential. Damien also used a similar Lexus transmission as his main propulsion as well. Kudos guys
With the Leaf drivetrain option usually we'd use a transfer case seeing as they have a variable gear reduction. Paired with a hydromatic transmission you could have up to 6 speeds with 4 wheel drive as an option. The space it takes up is a bummer tho.
So you repurposed a hybrid driveline out of a Lexus GS450H? How much power are you getting out of it? Seems like a decent way to DIY a conversion with tight packaging.
here you go the gs450h on a dyno ua-cam.com/video/-kPmooixm_k/v-deo.html the best bit is that there was so much torque in the low gear that it was skipping on the dyno
Drum brakes with all that power! I have a Bentley MKVI Special with a RR B81 Straight 8 6.5Litre engine with standard drums and that takes some planning to ensure you stop in time. Think I might have opted to covert this S2 to discs. Also what does a conversion like this cost (plus car).

Great job! Another car back on the road! I'm sure she'll be a dream to drive.
Mind blowing engineering

If only a had a £100,000+ going spare. I'd be straight down there with a Bentley S2! :) Wonderful.
It's not that expensive for a basic package. Get in touch via sales@silentclassics.co.uk
There are a lot more EV conversions happening around the world than I thought.

How do you plan to comtrol the speedo?
Hi James, We use a small motor that drives the speedo cable. This motor takes a speed signal from either GPS or speed signal from the VCU.
Do you use regeneration braking too with this system? Cheers from Australia.
