So cool. Unrestored is so much nicer than something shiney - I've done many (motorcycles) in the past, but am always on the look-out for unrestored vehicles.
Great video, actually I think the conversion is genius, the mechanics of an old 'gal like the Bentley would be prohibitive to put right, instead of the car sat rotting away in a garage or worse ending up in a scrap yard, this way the car has a new lease of life, all credit to Silent Classics👍
Am I correct in assuming that changing this Bentley to fully electric, eliminates all fiddling mechanical issues that these old Bentleys, Jaguars, etc are so famous for? Also, could you share what a conversion costs?
If you haventgoogled for the firm behind this video then i suggest the landrover/classic EV conversion scene would give you prices….the answer to you question is broadly yes
Great ! I think that the new bits should be steam-punked and patinated a bit to match the overall look. Like, the iPad should have a brass frame dulled up a bit. Maybe similar ideas for the battery cover and under-the-bonnet bits. Just things that would amuse me as an owner...
That’s a bit sad committing such an act of bastardisation to an old classic . A restored original engine and driveline and a coat of paint , it probably would have brung mega dollars, now it’s just some non original old car with an electric conversion probably worth peanuts.
lost tons of value too by doing this. Going to be embarrassing when the EV fad is over. EV tech lasts about as long as your laptop before it's all obsolete
A crime that somebody allowed a Bentley to get into that condition. And then there's this narrator who obviously wishes he was American, using words like "hood" instead of bonnet, "gauges" instead of instruments, etc. Bentleys should never have a "rat" look. This is American tripe!
Why does the EV brigade think this is some how eco friendly? Have you actually seen the devastating effects of lithium mining? Not to mention the shipping costs? This is all wrong. What a sad car😢
You miss the point of a car like this. It's for a gentle amble through the english countryside not a 'mine's bigger than yours' at the traffic lights. When this stupid ev nonsense ends and, it will end, we can go back to sensibility. Electric cars are not 'green'
Thank heavens that dreadfull music drowned out all you were saying ,presumably on how you tortured and and eventually ripped that poor old Bentley's heart out , before electrocuting it . Mindless sheep comes to mind .
Maybe dump the awful background music and buy a better mic, but yes I get it, making something woefully unreliable and expensive to run into a useable unique car
Great video 👍 Definitely need to show Tyrrell classic this S2!
Dear Silent Classics - please ignore the usual nay sayers. You are doing a great job extending the lives of these beautiful cars.
sounds like some one is talking over the music

Luxury and EV is the perfect combo. Effortless silent progress should be the goal.
Great conversion 👍
Why all the negative comment. With petrol at 10mpg or less it’s the obvious way to go.

Fiddling mechanical issues with RR and Bentley? Crap.

Brilliant conversion !! love the original paint

First E.V. conversion that makes sense to me. And I like the rat look
Bentleys should never have a "rat" look. This is American tripe!
@@bobmarshall3700 call it something else then you know what he means.
I miss infos about the drivetrain: Which motor is used and where is it mounted? Their website doesn't help either.
What a cool conversion, would love to see your conversion of Ford Escort Mk1
Sorry that BLOODY MUSIC is SO distracting, I only lasted two minutes & opted out!
Superb. Make more of these!!
Thanks!!
That may not be possible very few want to do a conversion best to focus on those with a engine beyond repair.
Great job!
What is the approximate cost for the conversion. I was just looking at another Bentley, and love it's looks....
HI the conversion for a basic 100 miles range setup would be upwards of £50k plus VAT.
Ideal car for Mad Max but instead Australia desert in the center of London
Loving it Jack ❤⚡️💯
Keep the patina!
Can you just convert any car to electric then use it without informing DVLA ?
Perfect car for conversion, now it can actually be used!
lol put a motor in gma too to keep her around longer !
Great job. So much better for the environment to reuse a beautiful old car instead of building an ugly Tesla from scratch.
A new lease of life! Love it ❤😊
But what is its range?
Low !!!😂😂😂😂
He does say in the video 👍
Very cool dudes.

E- steampunker...😊
What a sick thing to do to that beautiful car
Disgusting
did you rather want it to either rot away or get scrapped? whats your point.
Sacrilege, should have spent the money on restoring it.
lost tons of value too by doing this. Going to be embarrassing when the EV fad is over. EV tech lasts about as long as your laptop before it's all obsolete
Luxury seats will come in handy waiting hours for it to charge ( that's if it goes any distance)👎
No !!!!
BLOODY BACKGROUND MUSIC. CAN'T STAND IT
Ugh

Bonnet…..
That’s disgusting, making a beautiful car become ugly with only the way it moves
Why does the EV brigade think this is some how eco friendly? Have you actually seen the devastating effects of lithium mining? Not to mention the shipping costs? This is all wrong. What a sad car😢
Utter Crap, Desecrating a Legend Car
Absolutely disgusting 2 do this EV crap 2 such beautiful cars… 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Poor car. Only slightly better than banger racing it.

😂
Another classic desecrated absolutely disgusting
How to ruin a proper car. Shameful.
