Well, that was easy. I'm sure as heck not going to replace my transmission fluid filter. I'm not even going to have to remove the bumper OR the radiator. That filter is only going to have a prayer said over it and that'll have to suffice for now. LOL Hopes and Prayers only.
Was* Mine too, the engine blew a piston and broke the whole block 🚫 😭 Out of nowhere. We're the original owners right off the lot with 6 miles we put like 3 miles on the test drive. This was our "baby"😢 We kept it highly maintained and bought the best parts & oil when it came to service and it still blew up for no reason if you ask me
Excellent video there is no doubt that there is no filter to replace although the GM or Chevrolet recommends to change the transmission oil every 30 thousand miles
I suppose they went with this design due to space constraints? Not a big fan of an essential part for good vehicle maintenance that is not easily serviceable.
I figured this might be the case after looking all over for this filter. All I do now is the flush the trans oil every second service to be safe. Yeah might sound over kill, but I'd rather spend $50 and have the peace of mind knowing its as fresh as possible at all times. Better then replacing a blown trans. 🤷♂️
It reminds me of the secondary fuel filter change interval on antique tractors with a diesel engine. Change the primary at every ("x") hours, change the secondary filter at the time of a major overhaul.
So basically, to change a basic filter, you need to tear up the entire car. What a fuckup this car is, a money grab, no wonder why they have such a fame of having 'bad transmissions' they aren't serviceable!
Bad transmission? I’m on 180k miles with my sonic. I didn’t even know what changing transmission fluid was until my first time servicing the transmission on my sonic. I went almost 90k miles without a single trans fluid change. My car is still running stronger than ever and never had a single issue with the transmission. Maybe don’t speak out of your ass next time?
Cruze and Cobalt engines are known to run super hot, with no real place for the heat to go, except into the tranny & throughout the whole engine compartment and into the front interior of your car, so it would make sense to change out the tranny fluid as often as possible, as well as the oil, because the heat will cause it to break down much quicker than most other cars... Pain in the arse tho
I have a 2012 chevy sonic in the begin it was a code p0796 I replace the solenoids and computer for the second time I pay to get it reprogram and still have the same problem control solenoid C performance or stuck what else can I do my transmission sounds like wining noise sound like a power steering pump when need some fluid and it goes to a limbo mode
@guillermorodriguez4228@@soakthesoul1Mine is doing the same thing, did any of you guys ever find a fix? If so, please let me know your findings. Thanks in advance!

My biggest blunder is to buy this car

So for my 2011 Chevy Cruze ltz turbo. If I wanted to change transmission fluid I wouldn’t worry about a filter?

Thankyou for this. Saved me alot of time 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Bought my 2014 cruze brand new 14 grand 150 000 miles on it now zero issues
Well, I guess I'll be putting the valve cover back on and getting my refund after watching this.
Just change the fluid regularly and you should be good.

I guess your "filter" is changing the transmission fluid more frequently.
How much gear oil required for Cruze automatic transmission please tell me
I love all of your videos

Hi I have a 2014 chevy cruze turbo would you know where the clutch master cylinder is located and how to change it?
Hi there, Do you think it would be the same for 2013 chevy captiva?
Is this the same on a 2017 Chevrolet sonic premier turbo?
If the car goes on reverse but not on drive it also revs but it does not go into the drive
Very good design gm korea!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that’s a German motor, designed by Opel.

Before you can talk like the Mr. Wizzard. You have to spin some wrenches in futility as Tudor turtle on some Euro Turds for awhile😂

@@Spike_-rx7bx Chevy wanted us change car on evey 10 years, so they made this crap. But who knew they will not last for 5 years. 😀
