  • A generation of Tom Clark's high school history students have been tracking down the families of Indiana's war dead and creating an archive of their mementos, their letters, the stories of loved ones lost in combat and lives lived in grief. WSJ's Michael M. Phillips reports.

Thank you Tom, for remembering my friend, Bernard Masny and the other 12 Marines that were killed that day (Oct. 3, 1965)

I am working with a therpist to help me with PTSD. I found a reference to this link on UA-cam Wall of Faces. I was with Cullen Barksdale Jr. when he was shot and killed by a sniper Sept 29, 1967, in Vietnam. He wanted me to contact his family if something happened to him in the morning. I have so much to tell any of his family if I only knew how. Next week I will be going to visit his cemetary site, at Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart, IN. I found the info on the Wall of Faces, too. My therapist wants me to write that letter to his family and keep it. I was inspired to find him after watching this video. I lost other men in my platoon but Sgt. Barksdale was the first one. That still haunts me after all these years. I hope to find them, too, and say "you are not forgotten."
