I've watched several of this young mans videos and I am a carpenter of 42 years ,this man has extreme talent and it does my soul alot of good seeing what he ends up with after starting with only scraps ! Your work is absolutely awesome !
Me too...I've been sawing boards since the mid '70's and this guy really is remarkable.
I agree with you. :)
This one is too easy with his tools, every man or even girl who knows how to hold a hammer with a nail can do it
@@l3ek0 every one say that when you watching from outside, try yourself the same thing and after put it on youtube! I dare you!
@@maykelortigoza6493 Thank you! All they do is talk. The least these critics could do is appreciate the carpenter's creation and move on
After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
I'm super impressed he just cut all of those miteres as well as the two center pieces and they actually fit without adjustment. This guy earned some cred with me.
I'm honestly not trying to put the guy down, because it's a nice piece, but there was a lot of adjustment going on. For instance, when he inserted the middle octagon, you can see one of the adjacent pieces moved. Next clip, there's a wedge piece in there to fill that gap. And since he didn't clamp all the parallel pieces together, they weren't tight, hence the heavy use of epoxy to fill the gaps. Again, not trying to put down his work, because every piece, no matter who builds it, has its imperfections.
Isn't it a great source of hope to see that this guy actually has over half a million subscribers? I mean, there a so many channels from excellent and talented woodworkers who create just perfect beautiful work... And this good man just yanks everything together. If he can be a success, anybody can be a success. Unbelievable. Woodworking Comedy at it's best.
And that's why I dont throw any of my scraps away. Looks like I'm building my grandson a table this weekend. Thanks for the idea. Good job
Great.
Please post a video of the table you make :)
Noooooo why did you make it rounddddddd!!!! I liked the hexagon thing TwT

I'm also a carpenter from the UK! This is wonderful and I will definitely be making this! Iv got some really nice tree stumps saved iv been wondering what to do with some of them. I definitely fancy this table ☺️ really nice work.
just make it taller than his miniature one?
Great video. One problem, you make it look easy. My wife watched this and then sent it to me because she wants me to make one. Thanks buddy
Hahahaha happy wife happy life I guess
lol
I can barely cut a piece of wood straight, so I watched and admired the woodworking skills exhibited here. Nothing like watching an "artist" at work.
......and this is nothing like watching an artist at work.......boom! boom!...........
That's where it all begins:

I don’t know why, but something about watching wood makes it so satisfying to me.
Tis what she proclaimed
Yeah i hear you.
Its pretty stuff and with its texture it doesn't seem to mind being cut up. Its soft but hard.

Just be careful around the 4 hour mark
Personal preference but, it would've looked a bit better if left angular rather than round, and if the top had been stained to match the base. Cool project though
agreed I loved the angular look better, his work was amazing though.
I think i would have preferred the octagonal shape, but with rounded vertical edges (rounded looking at it from the side, not above).
But mainly, the only thing which bothers me is that there was no effort to find the center of balance for the tree piece. 1/3 of the table will tip over if any significant weight is put on it, while the other 2/3 are extremely supported.
But I agree, cool project.
This looks amazing!
All I need are £3000 worth of additional tools, a convenient tree limb and a few spare days and I too can make a gorgeous tiny table!
Beautiful table. You did an awesome job. Make another one for your neighbor but leave the corners on it. You might even like it more.
That's a beautiful example of how scraps of wood can be used to create something beautiful.
Well done. 👍
I have no interest in actually doing woodworking but really enjoy watching videos of it being done. That baby chainsaw is the cutest dang tool I ever saw in my life! Now I want one. 😂
P.S. Awesome job!!
🤣🤣
Мне нравится работа с деревом, интересно наблюдать за работой мастера!🌞

What do you have against an Octagon shaped table? 😂😂
Since that dude drawn a perfect circle freehand
Clearly an octagon table wasn't complicated enough.

SO good to see a young person doing something creative using their hands. I have been a woodworker most of my life and I am impressed.

Dude, most people making these videos are young. The myth that your generation is the only generation that works their butt off is false, tired, and done to death. This is what we call a back-handed compliment.
Well you got me subscribing here now. Love how you’ve used the trunk in its natural form. Some of your measuring and cutting techniques are great. Innovative work. Maybe stain that table top to match its new base?
Now that’s nice and a pleasure to see unfold!!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Just finished building a deck and I have more then enough scrap to build that. Plus some downed trees on my property I think I can find a base like that.
I'm going to give it a try tomorrow
✌️😁👍
Edit: I'm not making it round🤣
What an amazing talented
young man.
Love his simple but complicated designs. 🥰
Please stay safe
Amazing!! But it was fine as an octangle and the tree trunk should have been left in its original height.
Would have stained before attaching to the supports. Along with staining or sealing the supports as they might gather some moisture over time. Other than that love the project and it looks great. Great way to use some scrap.
Being someone with no woodworking talent at all it is good to see how each project comes together and how he simplifies the whole process. Hopefully Makita is kicking in something for you.
The most weird part of woodworking is u dont rly need to have "talent".
It needed only if u want to woodcarving.
That's what you call hand-made beautiful work God bless your talent👏🇵🇷
Nicely done! The best part of a three legged table is they never wobble. Awesome craftsmanship. 👌

Hermoso trabajo, eres un genio.🇨🇱👍
Amazing work! Loved how it turned out.
I love the octogon original shape. He did so clean work he could have keep the table that way. the base seem heavy, but one side of this tripod table should never be used for too heavy stuff.
0p0000l
I know right! Why did he get rid of that lovely shape. And I thought he would at least make the tripod evenly balanced. Waste of varnish as well. Should have used an oil treatment instead.
When he cut it, I thought the same then I figured it wouldn't matched with base(leg).
Same thoughts here
Looks like a side table or a child size table instead of a dining table?
Une table vraiment originale et un travail très bien fait ! Merci de partager!
The use of the level/ruler is ingenious!

Not the kind of table that I like. But he made it himself, with simple tools and simple materials. Well done, compliments.
I agree although those weren't "simple" tools. They were reliable brand tools that are able to keep up with his work unlike simple tools which would of surely broke half way through the process.
@@raegonzalez7692 I was gonna say the same lol. Definitely not simple tools.
I just wanna say that this is pure genious and art !😍

That was somehow a most relaxing and kinda spiritual video. A man and his wood, wait that came out wrong. Indigenous and modern. Sir, could you make me a wood bong?
I would like a wood bong as well
"A man and his wood..." XD
Think the wood would soak up moistire and smell making it a bad material. Could be wrong
I'll take one too mr
That small hand held battery chainsaw thing… I never knew how much I needed one before now…
They are great. Wife got me one for Christmas, amasing at the power. Just one thing, make sure you have a spare battery, the saw I have, it doesn't last that long.

I'm not a big fan of just using super glue and/or epoxy in woodworking. It's fine as a temporary hold fast, until the wood glue actually sets. I dont know how long it would last under different humidity conditions with the flexing and contracting of the would. However you cant argue with results :) It looks amazing! :)
he screwed the planks as well
@@olekristianvland7078 Ya but not all of them. If anybody puts too much weight over time I think it could break. It seems like a short table that kids might be using mostly. In that case, all bets are off with crazy jumping, fighting, tiny, head-too-big, humans :P Maybe not. I'm just talking about my personal preference. I am sure it will be fine.

Really nice little project, I like how it marries the natural leg stand and the worked table top.
I think for me, I would have left the top octagonal though.
Me too. Also, I'd have added a 4th leg from matching wood. It looked a bit "tippy."

👉🙏!!!
Everything looks good, but I think that you should have laid out the base with more equilateral support for the legs.. so that the legs fit in a perfect tripod centered in the circle when looking from above (plan view/ bird’s eye view..) it will give more support if a heavy object is placed over any given area of the table. The way you have laid it out has no support under virtually half the surface area of the top... otherwise very beautiful work, and yes I love your mounting idea for the mortised central cross!
😘😘
Aa
Ćr da d el
I mean, a more centered tripod might give more support, but its a freaking solid wood coffee table. I think it is heavy and solid enough that you don't need to worry about optimal support for the given application.
@@kl-vt5ko someone leaning on the unsupported side of the table could easily be enough to make it fall
