I cut off the branches put them in a bag then freeze them and just beat them against the counter when frozen.
I need to trim my bushes anyway or they get too big so it's a win win :P
Thank you!!

@@myamazinghomestead9774 I am planting my first Sea Buckthorn this coming spring. As i understand it, you need a male and female plant in order to produce fruit. Do you have any suggestions for me?
@@petewerner1494 Thanks for commenting and watching my channel. Yes you are right, need a male and female plant in order to produce fruit.
Wow thank you for sharing this, I've never seen berries that look like that before. The tool you made for removing the berries and the trick with the umbrella is pure genius. I will be be using that umbrella trick when I pick my blueberries from now on.

Brilliant and thank you
Good 😎👍
Very impressive 👏
Is this harvesting method bad for the tree itself? Does it damage the branches and fruits? thank you for the video
No I usually just cut off the branches that have berries and then I put the branches in a bag and freeze them.
Then when frozen i smack the whole bag against the countertop and all the berries falls off.
I need to trim the tree or bush anyway or they get too big so it's a win win :P
Thanks for this! I didn’t see any thorns? Is that a thornless variety? If so I’d like to know what it’s called please.
Thanks for the comment and for watching my channel. This sea buckthorn has thorns. The name of the variety is Openwork.

This is sea buckthorn
Это облепиха?
Спасибо за комментарий и за то что смотрите мой канал. Да, в этом видео мы показали как собираем облепиху.
What percentage of the fruits are damaged by this process/tool. I assume the time savings for harvesting exceeds that of lost or damaged fruits but curious nonetheless.
No more than 10% of the berries are damaged. This is not at all critical if you immediately process the berries.
я аплодую

Yorumunuz ve kanalımı izlediğiniz için teşekkür ederim.
well that was dumb !
Music is obnoxious. You take too long to do this. Re-edit it down to about 2 mintues.
Useful tips. May be merit in sharpening the bent part of the wires.
Thanks for the comment and advice.
Imagine being so pressed that you can't spend 5 minutes or press the mute button but still want to homestead. This may not be the life for you if you can't find some patience friend.
I liked the music!
