This is the time period in which Kenshin Himura lives in (11 years into the Meiji Era in fact), and so that means that canonically, from Rurouni Kenshin, Kenshin would have taken place in this very uprising, leading to the events in the manga.

Spent about 25 hours in the game so far and I’m pretty close to beating it. All I can say is that the start is kinda iffy. You really have to get some skills and stances before you can have a lot of fun.
Well the intro where I agree it’s a dumb intro, I do think they had you kill her to show that the Old times and traditional Japanese duty from clan has slowly shown across their own history that it doesn’t work. Where the Bladesmith said “Go where I didn’t succeed” showing she ultimately wanted to go find her blade twin but due to duty and clansmanship she actively couldn’t, therefore starting a new age of Japan and your journey

You did exceedingly well considering you chose to start off on the hardest difficulty Twilight. Your countersparking aka parrying was on point perfectly timed and combat was top notch. I don't know if you lowered the difficulty somewhere in-between behind the scenes there but if you didn't, kudos.

Ronin is definitely the game to go for your channel i think. It's been a lot of fun so far and much more accessible than other Team Ninja soulslike, so i think you'll have a blast on this one compared to Nioh 2 at least (some of your videos on that game were hilarious tho). Definitely not sure what all the critics are smoking cause this game is really solid and definitely one of the better ones for an open world.
