That's what it's all about! Please tell this to so called liberals who were criticising the removal of Articles 370. Removal of special status could attract more investment and economic development to the region, potentially creating jobs and improving infrastructure. It can facilitate the integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India, reducing barriers to trade, investment, and movement of people. It also could potentially strengthen India's ability to counter terrorism and insurgency in the region by streamlining governance and security measures.

Yami Gautam is finally getting the roles and attention she deserves after spending many years in the industry.
to be honest she was the weakest link of the movie. the rage moments of her character was just too nerfed. i could never even relate to her dad being dead and all. it just never made connection. felt like a posh girl doing ground work.

Yeah the army did the work. The civil society worked and created an atmosphere for the betterment of the society. Article 370 was already in the name only as the Indian constitution was implemented more than 95%. But let's give the party which can't tell us where the rdx came from and how did a DCP got terrorists across Kashmir.

Being from Jammu, except for a few scenes, this movies truly captures the lived experiences of residents of J&K.
If you can't digest the facts that Demonetistation did lead to temporary reprieve from Terrorist funding, Nehru's personal ego hindered the integeration of J&K adn the politician is modelled after "Farooq Abdullah" and not Omar, then my friend you need to read the history of J&K before making your lopsided observations.

Acting-wise this film is quite stellar. Priyamani is amazing and Yami is top-notch! And I found the whole missing clause thing very interesting from a legal viewpoint
If you listen to the speeches of Omar Abdullah before abrogation, you will understand that how entitled they felt...Go and see the real speech...Mufti said it clearly that Kashmir is connected by only through article 370...these speeches are in open,so before dismissing it as propaganda or exaggeration.. please do watch those speeches and demonetisation had put a break to fake currency from Pakistan...it is true and documented..

Arun Govil casting was the best... he is again in limelight for all right reason, Yami is really working hard and it shows ...Also, Priya did justice to her role.... there is one fight scene which is very gripping and should be seen for theatrical experience ...Intelligent Audience should support this movie by watching it in the theatre !!!

I'm actually quite disappointed on how it was being ignored as "Who cares about a propaganda film"? when I tried to discuss about it on reddit. First watch the film fgs. Is there no cinematic value of a film? Personally, I thought the movie was brilliant. Technically really sound with that good camera work and fire music. Really good performances from Yami, Priyamani, everyone involved was really good. Screenplay and direction is also very good as it was really well paced, I wasn't bored and considering 3 hr run time that says a lot. Yami Gautham stole the show, I always liked her.
I dont know/care if it's accurate to reality, I went for a political thriller movie and I got it.

This reviewers frustration is very visible given how well made the movie is & its potential implications
mujhe pata tha, ki aasa hi review dega ye. He makes sure to criticize all such movies. I hope one day he actually meets such victims on which such movies are made (me being one of them), and then regrate all his such videos which he makes, just on his believe no actual ground reality. He is just another citizen who believes such events never occurred just because they have been bought up in an extremely safe environment.

Why would you 'hope' that we fall under the category of those watching it just as a political thriller? Why shouldn't we watch it as a true representation of the history behind the issue? Why shouldn't we watch it as those who have faith in a political ideology?- as if it is something to be ashamed of.

This is a stupid review of the movie. The movie is executed very well and tried to be as pragmatic and real as possible but taken a bit of filmy liberty to some extent.

You want to please pseudo liberals like the likes of Anupama chopra and then do not want to lose your subscriber base who are nationalist but also claim to be neutral. At least your generation should learn to give credit to the present BJP govt that was intrumental in removing article 370. No other political party had the balls to do it. SO GIVE CREDIT WHERE IT IS DUE. You are probably half my age, and i generally do not rate experience by years. My friends and family have lived in Kashmir, have been killed in Kashmir, so they realize the importance and difference after article 370. Removal of 370 is the BEST decission for Kashmir, the only problem is it was done by a party which some dont like. If the same was done by other party then it would be seen differently.
Ultimately its not about what 370 is but who removed decides the outcome/reaction.

In the case of Kashmir insurgency, there are multiple sides - the insurgents', the Indian Army soldiers, and the civilians caught in the cross-fire. You cannot glorify just one side by waxing eloquent about the subject matter of films like Haider, and then barely touch upon the plight of the civilian victims when reviewing films like The Kashmir Files, even going so far as to almost whitewash the radicalization attempts portyrayed in The Kerala Story. The first line of defense ageinst an ideology you wish to suppress is to call it crazy or irrational, just like you keep insinuating about The Kerala Story. Dont think your intent is not evident.

Feedback to Jammy: you often say lets start reviewing GOOD and BAD aspects of the movie, but what happens when you first telling the bad aspects about film first due to fear of getting labeled by some of viewers then tell the god part of the movie.
Impact : first couple of minutes creates the impressions and you succedded in playing to the gallery, the later part about good part of the movie rarely retained or becomes the takeaway from the review.
Be fearless dont do appeasement and play to gallary.
If he doesn't like a film he starts with the good aspects as the bad aspects will be a longer section. If he likes a film the bad section goes first as it's out of the way and he can rave about the good parts for as long as he wants.
