- The Laowa 90 mm Ultra Macro on the new Canon R7 APS-C body yields some amazing results and one of the best setups in my opinion for macro/ extreme macro photography.
In this video I do a bit of pixel-peeing to assess the level of detail, contrast, sharpness of this setup.

Peter, I am about 18 minutes in while going through shots from this morning. Am I hearing a super happy Peter that is super impressed with the R7 resolution, detail and quality? It will be my goto macro camera but the detail you get is simply off the carts amazing!!! Now, back to the show.. 🤗💖🙏

Have you done a review on the Canon RF 100mm Macro on the R7 that I might of missed? If so how does it compare to this 90mm?
Peter, unlike the previous video on Laowa 25mm with R7 you did not mention the settings for this. 25mm requires enabling "shutter release without lens" and also I assume it's manual focus. What about this, 90mm? I hear you mentioning 90mm "auto lens". Does that mean the possibility of auto focus and also no "shutter release without lens"?
Hi Peter thanks for posting this as I am interested in the Canon EOS R7 and either the Laowa 25mm or 90mm. If I had to choose between one of the lenses which do you recommend I get? I've watched both your videos on the different lenses
Nice and informative vdo Peter. I have recently purchased Canon eos r10. Can Laowa 90 mm work good with R10? Or do you suggest any other macro lens?also which flash do you suggest for macrophotography?
Hi, Peter. New subscriber here. Thank you for the videos. I own the Canon RF 100 and am considering the Laowa 90mm. In your opinion, is the 2x vs the RF 1.4x significant enough to warrant having both these lenses in the kit? I do like the 100 for the AF.

Your images are exceptional! Based on the fact that the apperture is manual and there are no electronic contacts on the lens, do you find it difficult to focus due to low lighting (before the flash triggers)?
