Another great Game Hunting video here! And nice pickups Jim. Hamelin no Violin has been on my wishlist for a while now. Gotta pick it up when I go back to Japan!
Your videos make me happy!~ You are one of my inspirations to live in Japan. Currently trying to get a master's degree scholarship. Please, never stop the videos! Cheers from Brazil.
Ah! I learned about The Violinist Of Hemeln from Import Gaming FTW. Definitely on my list. Love seeing a classic Hard Off adventure, and also loved seeing the anime statues and stuff. I need to go there.
Great to see you do another Hard-Off run again, Jim. Was great to see what is available at their stores. You can kinda get a feeling on how they compare to Super Potato, Trade and Suruga-ya. 👍
That is a damn good tribute to the legend himself, Osamu Tezuka. Were it not for Astro Boy, we sure as fuck wouldn't have Gundam or Macross or even Getter Robo which would totally break my heart. Also Astro Boy 2003 is awesome, watch it sometime.
I saw a Namco Museum 5 in that glass case when you first started looking in it, purchased it recently off Ebay for not too shabby a price. Bought it for 1 game on it, Valkyrie no Densetsu/Legend of Valkyrie.
Man you are really a man of fine taste . Love the Dragon ball theme music you put in this video . 😊 i hope to visit Japan in end of march . Great video .
Glad too see some old games are going down in price;i hope that they dont go back up again because a lot of the games were like 100 + $ recently and just glad like i said that theyve gone back down
holy moly that anime exhibit? installation? whatever it is it's freaking amazing! definitely a lot of names I recognize from stuff I've seen. Correct about 'Argus no Senshi' that was Rygar here in the states, funny enough that was the last PS2 game that I imported! (although I think I'm going to fix that soon!!) kinda stuck at the moment though not sure where I'm going next, haha. funny enough also bought tetris battle gaiden at one point yeah definitely a neat puzzler I need to go back to.
@@MadPanicGaming oh well when I was looking I was kinda leaning towards fighting games, I did see a good deal on that SEGA AGES hokuto no ken so picked that one up (definitely the cheaper option that atomiswave version goes for like 50 bucks!!) don't know if this was meant for my comment but a really great tip either way, haha.
@@MadPanicGaming will be on point to watch it cause I’ve heard rumors that most of the time they do work and for a good price also they consoles as well and handhelds
With how many times I've been to Tokyo I'm shocked I never heard of anime gate! Definitely visiting that next time. What's the tune you put at the end of the vid? Sounds awfully familiar!
Not really, just wanted to refer to the place as something other than just Oizumi-gakuen since most people wouldn't have any reference for what that is.
Wow... a couple of years ago... i passed on a copy of koro koro nin-nin for ps1...priced at the measly sum of 20 something euros, on ebay....what a fool i was..lol
I would think the stores in Aki get hit hard. I wonder if they price things differently outside of the tourist area. Also I am still amazed at the condition of used games in Japan. They look like they are fresh from the package.
Prices in random Hard Offs is pretty unpredictable, there's not much uniformity among them. Super common games are always 300 or 500 yen, but aside from that it's all over the place. Akiba is typically more expensive overall, but the prices are more predictable because they're catering to a more informed clientele.
To add to that. You don't pronounce the 's' but you also don't pronounce the 'n' part so it's kinda like Le m-an (the French 'an' / 'en' is pretty hard to explain in writing 😅
I can’t believe I’ve been to Tokyo twice and never been to the Toei museum. Thanks so much for the recommendations! Can’t wait to go back
Definitely worth dropping by, the Toei studio is historic and the museum is really interesting.
That Toei museum looks really cool! I know that Toei did the animation for Transformers: The Movie, which is one of my favorite movies.
Great episode to know about this historic landmark of Anime. I'll definitely follow your footsteps on my next visit to Tokyo☺️
Definitely do, the studio and the museum are awesome. Oh, and swing by the Hard Off too lol
Another great Game Hunting video here!

It's a great game, a "hidden gem" on the SuFami if you will.

great video, those games that you bought are awesome, am going to stick with flying and shoot them up games 🎮 😀 👍, your videos are always fun...
Thank you!

Violinist is so damn good. I'll make a note to include it in your Patreon box.
Awesome! I love watching your videos, it makes me happy. I got to visit Japan one of these days.
Happy to be of service, lol. Borders are open, start planning that trip.
Great looking bronze statues in Oizumi/gakuen area. Great pickups and gameplay!
Great to see you do another Hard-Off run again, Jim. Was great to see what is available at their stores. You can kinda get a feeling on how they compare to Super Potato, Trade and Suruga-ya. 👍
Yeah, I was focusing too much on Akiba as of late, figured it was time to get back to my roots.
Oooh, that Gundam game looks like a ton of fun! I'm always learning about games I hadn't heard of before when I watch these 'More Games' vids :)
It's a great game, one of the first Super Famicom exclusive games I played back in the day, instantly loved it.
Some great pickups Jim. I look forward to you checking out the Toei Animation Studio. As always like the music you use 😊
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!
13:00 Thank you for showing the GameCube stuff. Always wanna see more!
I did however go to an anime museum which had a library of anime DVDs you could watch while there for free which was nice.
Your knowledge is always impressive and the delivery is excellent. Also, I’m Definitely in the Diddy Kong racing crew 😁
It's just a better game, lol my friend looked at me crazy when I said DK Racing is better

Indeed, the man was a pioneer.

Classic game, love it.
I can’t wait to go to Japan this December! I’m going to spend so much!
As a weeb that anime gate area looks AWESOME. If I ever go to Japan, that is a destination for sure. Thanks for showing it off!
My pleasure, thanks for watching!

Wow! I have to visit Toei! Don't know how I missed that when I was there!!

Maybe focus in on a genre? Like, collecting shmups, or horror games, something like that?

Awesome video as always love the game hunting and the games are amazing at the price just curious of the bins that are un tested
I'll have my Junk video out later this week, taking a look at some of the presumably untested 100 yen games

Love these videos hunts and have gamecube mario kart seller
I love your videos!!! I dream watching them!!! I send you a big hug from greece
Lol, thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoy the videos.
Yes! Another Hard Off video! I miss the old intro...
Which intro might that be?
@@MadPanicGaming The old Hard Off Hunter intro with the map. It's just nostalgia from way back. It's how I started watching this channel.
Everything theres half the price it is in England, crazy.
Especially with the generous exchange rate right now

Hmm, this video title and description seem to be algorithmically motivated.
A lot of people are searching for anime on youtube these days.
Not really, just wanted to refer to the place as something other than just Oizumi-gakuen since most people wouldn't have any reference for what that is.
Battle Tetris Gaiden is so good! I played it on emulator ages ago...
It's very addictive, nice graphics and sound too.

Ouch! Missed a mega deal on that one. Really fun game too.
Welcome to The Birthplace of Anime!
私が所有してるゲームが沢山ショーケースで売られてる事に最近気が付きました、昔は値段が安かったのが信じられない値段になって、驚いてます。
ええ、ゲームはより高価になっています。
Possibly coming to Japan soon for a work trip any suggestions where I can find the best place for vintage street fighter items ?????
Akihabara will probably be your best bet for vintage gaming stuff, just shop around, or possibly Nakano Broadway.
Thanks for the tip I’ll be heading there soon !!!
100% in Akihabara on the 30th November over night time to game hunt !
Where did you get the shenmue beat you used? I need this for a Yokosuka video!

Ps2/ps3 games do most of them have english in the game eg bio hazards games ?
Nope, afraid not. Even the Biohazard games only have English voice overs, all text is in Japanese.
Your Darius shirt reminds me of the movie Jaws
The design is modeled after the original Jaws poster
I’ve been to that hardoff in 2016 and I don’t remember it being that stacked back then. Or maybe I didn’t have much money back then. 😂
It had been so long since my last time here, so it's hard to remember if they had more or less games. Got quite a few on this trip though.
Hi, how are you?
Do you sell some of your buys to the west?
I pretty much only ship out games via my patreon page, but if you have a specific request you can contact me at kidshoryuken@gmail.com
@@MadPanicGaming hi, great great, i will do it soon
Diddy Kong Racing absolutely was more fun than Mario Kart, in my opinion at least
I need to go back to Japan and pick up some Super Fami jammies games 😁😁😁
Do it!
Hey Jim, where abouts can I find me one of those sweet t-shirts. Cheers
It's sold by Hardcore Chocolate, but I don't know if they ship overseas
