Always love watching the hard-off walkthroughs! I wanna say Sailormoon S the fighter got a fan-made rebalance patch in recent years? I had heard it has quite the cult following in some FGC circles.
Nice video as usual ♥ Anyway, too bad that you didn't show any of the Figures. I know you are not into em, and probably you wanted to keep this video only about retrogame, but maaaybe you could have put some shots of the Figures section at the begin or the end of the video. You was there anyway, the video would still be focused around retrogames, and I think many of your followers would be interested in em. Love your videos!
Nice souvenirs for me, I went to this place and got me Final Fight 2 complet in box and some Kirby games for SNES too. Thanks for the sharing as always! (love Okachimachi btw)
I like that rendition of one of the Ridge Racer Type 4 tracks at the start of the vid. Who did it? It was dope. You really should start linking and informing us of the sources of the music in your vids😃
I have a question: I’m embarrassed to say I don’t own any of the Castlevania games. Lately I’ve been thinking of purchasing them, but the prices in the Netherlands give me a bit of a pause (#1=$40, #2=$30, #3=$95, #4=$90). I’m planning to go to Japan next year, am I better off purchasing them over there?
They're usually cheaper if you don't mind loose carts, except for the first game on Famicom, the cartridge version is typically pretty expensive because it's much less common than the original disc version.
That beginning camera perspective footage looked like you were going to walk straight into telephone poles, bushes, and people lol looked like how I walk down the street drunk lol cool video nevertheless.
This hardoff is quite good for games selection. Too bad I still cannot come to japan for a vacation as japan still off for tourist. I am just curious what hobby off part they have on that place Jim.
Personally Jim, if I go to Japan to do game hunting, it would be mostly for Neo-Geo. Still a good amount of games that I want for my collection for sure. 8^) Anthony..
Honestly, that's one of the reasons why we've never seen a HARD OFF store in the US. Too many awesome Hard On jokes would be made. There's a few BOOK OFF stores in the US though.😅
I completed ASTRAL CHAIN a few months ago...highly recommended...cool game...also, i played SAILOR MOON S: JOGAI RANTO today...for the 1st time...very good fighter, imho
Hey Jim, How Long Did It Take For You To Become Fluent In Japanese From The Point You First Started Learning Japanese? What Year Did You First Learn Japanese, And Do You Feel Very Confident Today In Speaking Fluent Japanese To Native Japanese People? I've Been To Tokyo In 2018, Right Before Covid Hit, Do You Think It Might Be A Problem In Trying To Immigrate To Japan Even Within 5 - 10yrs From Now? Also, If You Don't Mind Me Asking, How Old Are You? Are You A Fellow GenXer? How Far Back Are You In Video-Games? I've Been A Gamer Since 1977, When I Was 4yrs Old, Since Atari 2600.
I think I went to that shop (pre pandemic). As I remember they had a few controllers on the bottom floor. It's a shame about Xbox in general in Japan. They really have great titles, but sadly there is no love in Japan. The last time I went to Yamada Denki, I remember Xbox section looking pretty sickly. I've been sticking to the local HARD OFF/used game shops. I'm looking to replace my favorite childhood nes games with Famicom versions. Fortunately most are easy to find.
Funny thing is that the reason that Sailor Moon fighter is getting tournament is because is not good. To be more exact, the game is so broken dedicated fighting game players are finding all sort of weird interesting things you can do with it.
Jim, I have a question about shopping in Japanese stores - is it considered rude to grab the products you want off the shelves, and then carry them with you as you continue shopping? I noticed in all your videos that you don’t grab the products you want until the very end of your shopping trip. Here in the US, we grab the items we want; we continue shopping; and when we are finished, we go to the register.
I grew up on Pokémon they're fun games. I'd day if you've never played em try like Platinum or Emerald more competitive styled games. Anyways great videos always enjoy watching
So I got a question for ya: I have a Japanese PS2 and Taiko drums, along with a few games, a PS3, 2 DSes, 1 old JP 3Ds, a PS Vita, along with some Japanese games. The question is: I am going to get rid of them... where would I get the best price for the stuff, you think? A chain store like Geo, a more spectility store like a Super Potato, or just dump it off on a Hard Off/Hobby Off... unless you wanna buy um (^_-) *edit Just sent you an FB message
Why doesn't nobody on that train at the beginning want to breath fresh air? All masked up and staring in to there phones like brain dead zombies...Looks weird.
You have no idea how much I needed this today. Thanks Jim.
Glad I could make your day. :)
Thanks for showing the walking to the store and a bit of the area! Another great video :)
This video really helped me feel better today. Thank you for all the content it always makes me happy
My pleasure. Thank you very much for watching.
Great video, thanks Jim. Nice selection of games and diversity of consoles you showed there. Something in it for everyone :)
Editing has really improved, footage and beats are awesome! Thanks Jim
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
oh man! this is my favorite Hard Off aesthetically that I visited while I was there. Got a couple cool things too.

I was not aware of that. That makes sense now, lol.
Your videos bring me much joy. Great game hunt!
You always have the best music in your videos. I need a playlist from your selection. 😁
Nice video as usual ♥

Always a treat to see retro

My bad. I forgot where exactly I found it the first time around, but here's a re-upload I found. ua-cam.com/video/HvIQ7ASHrzs/v-deo.html
@@MadPanicGaming Thanks dude. I really like your channel.
@@MadPanicGaming Here's the channel of the actual artist who did the track: Blue Rhythmz

Thanks Jim!
My pleasure. :)
Thanks for Okachimachi teleportation :-)
My pleasure.
Been to that HardOff twice. There are a lot of good stuff there!
great hard off
need to find that Shop when I'll get the next time to Japan.
And I want to Check out the hobby off area.
Oh man I can’t wait to go back to Tokyo! Sadly this is the closest we can get right now due to covid travel ban :(
That start of the video was epic , where did you get that remix of Move me?
Forgot where I originally found it, but I did find what I assume is a re-upload here. ua-cam.com/video/HvIQ7ASHrzs/v-deo.html

Over het algemeen zijn Japanse games meestal goedkoper dan de games hier in het westen.

In the States, most of these games would be in the glass case due to the lunatic pricing we have.
I love Hard Off! 楽しい動画をありがとう!
Great video as always! What is the name of the track playing in the beginning when youre on the train?

Do you know when shipping will resume to the US?
Personally Jim, if I go to Japan to do game hunting, it would be mostly for Neo-Geo. Still a good amount of games that I want for my collection for sure. 8^)
Anthony..
Damn no pick ups at the end 🥲
Saving that for later.
I’d call it Hard On just for laughs.
Honestly, that's one of the reasons why we've never seen a HARD OFF store in the US. Too many awesome Hard On jokes would be made. There's a few BOOK OFF stores in the US though.😅
did you visit that Taito game center next door? :)
No, but I did go to the nearby Book Off which had a surprisingly large game selection.
I completed ASTRAL CHAIN a few months ago...highly recommended...cool game...also, i played SAILOR MOON S: JOGAI RANTO today...for the 1st time...very good fighter, imho
Does the old disc based game still readable today?

Yeah, thankfully the bulk of the Famicom library is abundant and pretty affordable too.
Nice remix of rockman x 4

This is the one that Metal Jesus Rocks went to, in his Tokyo video.

Are you an English teacher or something? Usually that is the main reason I see American's living in Japan. Why do you live in Japan?
Buy own Pawn star's
Actraiser remastered isn’t that great
