  • Hi there everyone!
It took me years to finally do it but now it's time to release my first ever Q&A!
I made a selection of the most asked questions from UA-cam comments, private messages but also remarks leading to interesting discussions!
I hope you will find some insightful information about my evolution but also about the gear in general.
If you have another topic on which you want me to react, please share it to me and I will keep that in mind for a next Q&A!
See you on the next part of my Studio Tour!
    Cheers from France!

      My pleasure Emmanuel !
I am happy you found it interesting 😊
I really believe motivation is a key factor to share among us. There’s too many haters around here, and so many ways to be discouraged…
      Thanks for your support !
      Cheers from France 🇫🇷

Hey my Brother, thank you, it´s great get to know you!! I think you just missed the cymbals in the gear section. But that´s fine my brother, I personally appreciate your answers. Greetings from Mexico City!!

      Hi ! Glad you liked ! 😊
I missed the cymbals in the gear section because it’s not the most asked subject, and I did a full video about my cymbals setup when I announced officially that I get the Zildjian endorsement 🥰
      Cheers from France 🇫🇷

@ Ha Ha!! I'm sorry, I didn't miss the video, Actually I congratulated you, but I forgot that I've watched already, sorry my brother!! So again, Congrats!! The thing is that I just about to replace my own cymbals, a Paiste 2002, and I want to get a try to Zildjians, I am at the middle and I don't know what to choose if I go for those beautiful A Customs OR the K Custom Dark series, of course for metal music, I have tested the A customs and mmm I don't know... but the K's are pretty sweet to my ears even for metal, but I don't know brother... Can you help me out here, I know, I know, (once again), kidding. But yeah I need your opinion you are the Master my brother. Thank you, and sorry again.

      @@carloszepeda9132 Don't worry !! No problem at all 😉
The both series are great ! It really comes to what you like as cymbals sounds. The A Custom's are my personal favourite because they are very bright and with a long sustain. Super pure sounding, not many harmonics.
The K series is darker, warmer, and as much more harmonics but also less sustain.
K Dark are too dark for me, but the series K Custom Hybrid uses the traditional finish with the brilliant one to have a blend between texture and the sound coming out of these are right in the middle ! 😊
Tell me what you chose ! :D

@ Great, thanks for your help. I hadn't thought about the K's Custom Hybrid... Actually, I would love to have something in between, probably more warmer but with sustain I guess. Thank You my brother!! Cheers!!

Great video! Here's a question: I just switched to direct drive pedals with light beaters from chains and it's simply amazing how much gear made a difference in my case. I am able play ankle motion more freely and more controlled and with little adjustment heel-toe also sounds right now. But, the full leg motion is where it feels like my legs can't do it anymore, it feels very light now (messing with the spring tension doesn't solve this). Any tips on adjusting?

    •  Рік тому

      Thank you !
For your issue, you encounter a problem a lot of drummers have. Switching from chained drive pedals to direct drive ones. It has some very different feeing. The fact that the movement of the footboard makes the beater reacts exactly at the same time creates a whole new feeling on our playing.
And that change can make us better at one special technique and worst on another.
There is always an adaptation time, seeking for the best settings to feel great.
When I switched from Pearl Eliminator to Axis A, I felt the same !
If you like the heavy feeling, try to have heavier beaters, adjust the beater height too to increase the amplitude !
      Hope it helps 😊

@ Thank you very much for the advice. I think I managed to narrow my problem to balance on the chair and that I burry my beaters and hit really hard with using a lot of strength when doing full leg motion. With chain drive and spring tension cranked to the max I could get away with this for some reason. Not so much on direct drive, so it's back to working on proper full leg motion and balance. I'm glad the pedals really showed me where I lack in technique and what to improve. Cheers!
