This is my first extraction shooter and this one is great fun. Best tip, if you can, play with at least one friend that understands a game like this. I didn't know much and it really helps to understand how to go about playing a game like this. Positioning and understanding when to push, stuff like that.
As a solo, it helps a lot to try and disable ships in the start, if you can thin down the amount of people early, its less people later on inside. if you do this however, make sure you're ready for boarders
Pretty good tactic to get more equipment is to find AI ship (Interceptor Frigate), then shoot at it until it is disabled. Then you KEEP SHOOTING at the ship so that the NPC's die inside. Then just breach into it and get some free loot from the bodies.
@@penguinking5391 usually anything else except rust bucket is an AI ship. The AI ships also move in a bit "jerky" way and don't head towards the ports. Interceptors are usually patrolling AI ships, and they shoot torpedos. If interceptor shoots something else, it is most likely a player controlled ship.
Two things I can add that made the game playable. If you have a widescreen monitor go to the steam guides for this game theres a fix to give a normal fov. Also if you have a mouse with high polling turn it down to 500. The game has negative mouse acceleration at high polling making the mouse feel floaty.
edit: I got highlighted so i'll add some more. Crafting early on is very good to save money, and once you unlock the VZ Kobb you can sell it for a profit after taking out the ammo. This gun takes 9mm so you get the ammo for free off your ship and fits in the pistol slot!
edit2: another easy way to earn cash is to go into raids looking for AI scout ships that you can steal. You lose your ship so only do it with the rustbucket. Generally i do a loop around the map to see if there's any ships not going into the center and just doing laps. These are the AI the ships have a couple easy AI you have to kill then the ships yours to use or sell for 18K.
@@judewhittaker1200 maybe dev said that. But i do not see it in game. Whenever i leave, i can see that it gave me 2x multiplier not 3x. Maybe they just plan it to be this way. Also they said prestige is on lvl 40. Even in the ingame guide says this. But it's wrong, you can prestige when you reach lvl 50.

The Gear Fear is a huge one, this game feel so extra casual and fun that honestly i go in with top tier shit like F it if i loose it i loose it ill can buy it back for pretty cheap anyways
i was smacking kids with some panzer armor i got off another guy i killed. next match i found merchant ship went in fully geared to try and finish contracts and zero to hero, i got clapped within like 3 min lol. didnt even care

It also helps that most every gun in the game is viable. Especially cheap stuff like the M1 Carbine and any shottie. Well placed headshots can make you some bank.

If you’re like me, and your favorite part of the game is boarding and stealing ships, then one way to expand your collection of ships is to take the rustbucket and immediately get into an escapee pod and try to catch people on their way to the main area. Since it’s the rustbucket than it doesn’t matter that you abandoned it, and every other ship in the lobby will be better anyway unless it’s another rustbucket.
"Lose all your starter gear and end up broke, ill equipped, and struggling" Lost my first kit within a few minutes not realizing it came pre equipped. Started grubbing with the pistol. Made a klobb, and just stole an interceptor, using planning, trickery, and good ol fashioned tenacity. Just made it to level 12, whoohoo
Great video. Just bought this game last night and I have two tips to add: When you open your airlock, be in cover. My first game it opened and I immediately got killed. Second tip: when you LEAVE the station, make sure you know where your escape pod is. I got ganked as soon as I exited and died because I didn’t have full health after my first successful raid. Let’s see how my third game goes 😂
i believe you might need enough storage for it as well, i’ve made sure i always had enough storage before i turn them in and always received it, but i’m not sure tho
one of the biggest reasons I dont play tarkov anymore is because my friends have moved on and solo is just terrible. Without a buddy to get one shot I have to die to the first shot fired and thats not fun lol.
Another tip, if you're in the escape pod and breach the second the enemy docks it doesn't notify them so you can get some really stealthy kills while they wait for the airlock to open

Please no, it's one of the many things that made Tarkov worse, things used to have subjective value depending on your tasks before the find in raid requirement was added, so one man's treasure could be another man's gold, and with the flea market no one gives a fuck about any of that and just go by the single-slot rouble value and it sucks. No one is excited to find good armour if they already have good armour on, because they can just loot a few valuable items taking up less space and just buy the armour outright, especially now that it's so fucking heavy.
Why would you want a market in this game? There's barely any items. You use the money to buy items in the shops, salvage them and craft / buy what you need. No point in adding a market
The three most important early crafting items: light bag (two ducks to craft, turn in 3 for a mission), lockpick (always bring 1), and the Klobb (incredibly cheap, highly effective machine pistol. 2k sell value. Feed it free 9mm. It's high rof murders even heavily armored enemies with headshots (klobberin time)). All craftable with the free ship farm run (grab the pouch rig to get duck tape, grab ammo and pistol, grab 4 fire extiguishers. Fly to jumpgate. Scrap all. Repeat while listening to podcasts or something as needed to have plenty of crafting mats (and or money) to be able to cheeky breeki. The pirate helmet isn't bad either. 4 junk and 1duck, expendable lol 5 helmet.

Marauders and cycle are showing that as soon as there’s something else, Tarkov will fade away. The fanboys will cry that the games aren’t as detailed or this that or whatever, but at the end of the day most the people just want a fun casual experience. Hardcore games don’t have a wide player base and that’s because most people aren’t streamers playing a game for hundreds of hours a wipe. So you can enjoy your Tarkov, I enjoy it to, but to be satisfied with the state of the game after 7 years of active development is a hard sell. I’d be willing to say most people just like it because it’s all that there is like it, it corners the market, and as stated as soon as something actually fully comparable comes out everyone will jump ship leaving BSG with nothing.
Tarkov won't die exactly because it's a hardcore game,best of its kind. Complain all you want but it's gonna be a while before any game like it comes close unfortunately

So a good chunk of their current consumer base have already spent everything they will on the game. Servers aren’t free. And without casual players buying in they won’t be making any money. The reason hardcore games don’t sell as well as other games is because they are niche market. Not enough customers.
before you buy ! realize players can disable anti cheat and get into matches with players who have it enable... it's way too easy all you do is edit a text file
huge tip save toolkits, 1911 governments, trench guns, nuclear material, meth, biscuit tins, transmitters (3) and bars. also if you can buy flak vests buy them for synethic scrap easy mats also same for welrod for metal scrap and leather jerkins for leather strips
also you are probably going to be constantly killed by the top 10 players in the game . if there's an event worth going to good chance you go there and get killed by one of the top 10 players
"all the loot in the map" you can't carry all the loot in the map. even with a team of 4, the map has enough stuff that you still have to pick and choose what you want to exit with. AND its best to leave with a full backpack. no reason to leave with half empty backpack. fill up, max out slots, then dip.

For tip number 3, leaving with your ship has a 3x XP multiplier so its better than leaving in escape pod

I think the quest reward system is broken because i turn it in and itll say i get a gun as a reward but it never shows up in my inventory

It was either a bug, or you breached another ship and forgot to take the persons keycard
You also have to keep your captain keycard in the keycard slot when you open the airlock. Nearly screwed myself finding that out.

I've noticed this as well... if it's a bag or armor make sure there is nothing in them before u put in ur inv. And fold them
You cannot place items that have storage slots in them (rigs, unfolded backpacks) into your backpack or rig.

The death screen will tell you the name of your killer, so either player name or generic AI designation such as "Personnel"
Normally the name will give it away from whst ive seen so far

Life isn't all about the W key
"all the loot in the map" you can't carry all the loot in the map. even with a team of 4, the map has enough stuff that you still have to pick and choose what you want to exit with. Takes out the white part of your stamina bar and heals you a little
really sucks that the game is dead now. Can't get a match without a cheater. They need to fix their security problems and add a pve for the other people.
1 thing I wish I knew was that the game is dead and you will just be farmed by the same 100 TTVers
