- Enlisted's new tech tree has been released on the test server! The new Enlisted is here! I will fully and completely explain the tech tree and how it works. It's very similar to War Thunder, but with a few twists, and that can confuse beginners, so I'm here to give my tips and tricks on how to understand it, use it, pick/decide/choose what to upgrade/research and grind for, how folders work and how to obtain new squads.

Note: You are not rewarded with silver for finishing research, you have to PAY that much silver to unlock the weapon. It's basically just paying for your first one.
If you look at the silver, it went from 572k to 571k

Idk likes the game before they did all this! I still play but now it's jus dumb.. 2 identical guns but yet one gun is more stronger than the next because it's a level two or three? Come on.

I already had MG 13 and ZB-26, but when I researched the MG34, I couldnt buy it because I didnt have Breda Mod. 30 down on the line... so no, you cant go foward in the line if you have better things already :( you must unlock the previous ones

I just found out about the game few days ago, and I truly hope those changes will not make grinding for the worse, given its the war thunder devs I know oh too well how much they stretch the grind and push you towards pay2play with prenium and whatnots

In my opinion im used to tech tree's because other games uses the same type. And the thing they used before was a lot more time consuming
I assume they will make a devblog to state which premium squads will be removed after the merge. So far they always announced which offers will be removed, and give players a time frame to still get them
I'll be making a video soon on this, though they did mention many squads being removed MANY months ago now, everybody forgot

Much preferred the campaign system.
It's very similar to WT. But do we still have the choice to choose which campaign we play? And does squad management change, or is it really only the way of unlocking weapons and vehicles that changes and everything else stays the same?
Campaigns are just "maps" now after the merge, and you can self-select into campaigns by picking equipment that would suit that campaign, as we will soon be explained by the battle rating system. But they did even say in future they plan to allow features to pick certain maps, just not immediately. Yes everything from squad management will remain the same too (though they will add some features to help with it).

Great vid. I learned a few things I hadn't noticed on the test server such as the research points usage.
My man really just made a full video about soldier perks and everything becomes obsolete the next day?
Technically not! :P The perks are still the same! Just that some of them can be stacked/taken by only a fraction, so yeah it changes what people's choices are but the perks are still the same :) Will have to do another video though... Unlucky timing

It looks a little disgusting. I tried War Thunder because I had played Enlisted. I felt that it took too long to unlock. I don’t know if this change can save unlocking time, but I think many players may give up on this game.
I understand your concerns, but statistically everything is MUCH easier to unlock here (unless they change it) than it is in the current system. You might be right, but it does in fact save a tonne of the grind and I hope people realise it soon :)
Im level 19 at Normandy with the US 144K xp wtf this game need to much grinding .. im kinda lost
so the update came and i have a question. i unlocked mg 42 for my germany but it says 'previous reward research required'. i don't have any reward to claim. do i have to unlock all machine guns before mg42 or there is another problem?
You have to unlock and purchase every single weapon in the line before you can get the next one. It's really stupid because if you played the old version you may have already unlocked weapons and skipped over certain ones.
So i can take my Tiger 2 to Normandie or Tunesia?

Nice to see the Lagg-3 is going to be unlocked really early, as opposed to Moscow now where, iirc, you have to unlock the Yak-9 before the Lagg-3. Like, what? Who's going to use the Lagg-3 instead of the Yak-9 for any reason outside of just generally liking that plane?
I have a question. For example i unlock everything in normandy axis only. But if i want tiger II H, do i have to invest in the tanks from Moscu or tunisia first? Or i can keep moving from tiger E to tiger II?
I hope not! better off just grinding Berlin stupid hard at that point before the update.
When you unlock anything right now, you keep it permanently and it can be used in any campaign that allows that tank, which may not be every campaign due to the new battle rating system, but those that would suit that tank. If you’ve unlocked a Tiger E, it seems as though you could unlock straight after or before it, so basically anything, though that was just the test server so I’m unsure if the main game will be exactly like that. Hopefully that makes sense!

Hey so I have a question…
I honestly just want to play with the classic ww2 weapons(specifically for the American faction) but I simply don’t have the time to grind this massive tech tree.
I may be a noob but I only get roughly 6-10,000 XP/research points per match yet the weapons are ridiculously expensive. I don’t have time to play 15 full game matches for a single weapon
So is there a way to boost my XP? Or can I just buy a research tier for gold. It’s advertised as only one gold coin so does that mean I complete the weapon for this tree?

No, I think they only made that event squad in the campaign tree as many players wanted it to counter other tanks. All other event squads ever added will stay, unless they announce it obviously

Man I’m so down right now. I’ve play this game for like many years but I didn’t play that much so instead of having stuff that newer players don’t I’m just the same as them.
I’m so fucked too because one of the squad that is my best is tier 2 while the rest are tier 4. So I’m running around with tier 2 gun in a tier 4 or 5 match

There's a very high chance it's going to be better for us players soon though due to all the concerns
I just want Italy and Britain to eventually get their own trees. Italy especially is left out majorly in WW2 games, and their inclusion in Enlisted compared to other shooter games is great. Italy also could also easily be included in the Eastern theater maps, specifically Stalingrad.
Nahh, I've just realised we're going to see a mass of Italian units in Berlin, for fuck sake man, why. This game was doing so well, now I'm relegated back to Hell Let Loose as my main WWII game.

Your reasoning is, ohh Enlisted is historically inaccurate. I'm going to quit the game. Sounds dumb, because no video game is historically accurate.
A video game based on real life events is never going to be 100% historical accurate. Otherwise nobody would play them. Like seriously do you want your guns overhead, have limited ammo and jab randomly?
However, that doesn't mean doesn't mean you should give say, give the Japanese STG 45's. Because that's historical accurate and dumb.
@@MadMinuteMan What the devs should strive for is historically believability. That way they can focus on fixing gameplay and gameplay balancing. Without worrying about making the game historical accurate. Just to appease a small minority of players. Who get mad over the camo of a tiger. That isn't a 100% exact replica. Of the camo used in 1944 by the 236 SS panzer Corp. For example.

I have a question, are weapons still used exclusively for each campaign or are they always used interchangeably, for example, can I bring the Tiger II into Normandy, or is it only usable in Berlin?
When merge happens, you will be able to use (in theory) any weapon in any campaign, but not really, because of the BATTLE RATING system for matchmaking (which hasn't been detailed yet by the devs but will be soon). Meaning, you can't use a T-70 vs a Tiger II, and that no Tiger IIs will appear in Moscow. But a Tiger II MIGHT appear in Normandy (which we don't know until they specify) because it's likely that Normandy and Berlin matches will both have high battle ratings. Hopefully this makes sense?
700 games of running usa non stop and im still only just now starting to finish up most of my tier 3 items i have literally everyrhung in br 1 and 2
I keep seeing tech tree and economy videos but where are the dev server gamplay at, like i want to know what the game going look like. Cause ill stop playing if i see Marines in Europe or Tiger 2s in Tunisia

If this follows war thunders lead, they added tiers because soon will go into other eras , like korean war , then vietnam and so on . Thats what they did in war thunder and thats why tiers are needed.
I noticed the Soviet tech tree is missing the LAD machine gun in the bottom where the battlepass weapons are. I assume you wont be able to buy it after the merge, but can i still use this gun after the merge? I just spent my gold orders on these.
LAD is a gold order weapon, and gold orders are unchanged after merge, therefore no gold order is in the tech tree because you buy them in the "shop" tab as normal. You'll be able to buy everything after merge as normal
Can you puchase British, American, Italian and German soldiers seperately??

Any particular explanation about why some low-Tier weapons have high stars (like the MP3008 and the Type 97 sniper) and why others have lower stars than weapons before them (like the MP40)? Might this depend on the matchmaking value of each weapon (since Darkflow confirmed that Tiers don't represent the matchmaking)?
The "stars" are a weird complex thing that makes little sense in the game for some reason. It's to do with the "base quality" of said weaponry, as in one with more stars available than others will be mor expensive to buy, you'll get more rewards for selling them, more expensive to upgrade etc

Yes, you will! That's the whole point of the "battle rating" new matchmaking system :)
Question: where are the motorbikes from Tunisia (which tier and what to research before)
Can't remember what tier, but I think either 1 or 2. And it's the "mixed heavy weapons" class you'll need to research before (flamethrowers, anti-tank weapons, mortars, etc)

Will lots of weapons still be limited to the campaigns they were used in irl? Because id like moscow to remain a bolt action heavy campaign
Yes, that's the point of the battle rating system! It might not be absolutely perfect, and likely won't be, but close ish
Hopefully they do not make it so weapons that are from later in the war are not available in campaigns before they were invented.
I've a question. I mainly play Moscow, and I have researched the MKB 42H sniper Variant, will that gun still be available to me even if I don't have all the prerequisites?
Yep! You keep what you’ve unlocked already! It might mean that when the merge happens, it appears as though you’ve “skipped” some earlier weapons and the sniper MKB is after all of it, but you can just start researching the earlier stuff if you wanted to :)
@@MajorMcDonalds Thanks. Honestly, I'm pretty relieved for that, I've almost got Moscow maxed out (lvl 32 axis) and losing some of those unlocks would be a b, especially since I don't have premium squads or account. I do have several battle Pass weapons but they don't get any research bonuses

Gold orders? They remain! Check the "shop" tab to see them again :)
do you think we need to know the economic systems of the merge as i can see 1 gun cost 5k but 1 silver soilder card give you 1k what is happening
Many weapons in-game already cost 3 silver weapon orders for example. And they just removed the prices of buying stuff as per a recent dev blog
While I’m not to sure about this new thing. Because I’m not going to enjoy seeing Marines in Normandy and Brits in the pacific, it should be better than the old grind.
Any idea if certain weapons/vehicles/gadgets will be unavailable after the merge if you don't already have them? Not premiums, just standard versions. I'm afraid I won't have enough time to grind before the merge.
Yeah the German PPSH-41 in Stalingrad is going away, BAR1918(pretty sure), Manlincher, Breda Model. 30 for Soviets and I don't remember the other ones chek the subreddit
All I know is the following (but I will be making a video very very soon on everything):
- Browning 1918 (not A1 or A2)
- OVP
- MP 717
- Mannlicher M93
- Breda mod.30 (from Stalingrad Soviets only)
- Thompson box mag (from Stalingrad Soviets only)
- Pedersen rifle (gold order weapon)
And a few premium (paid) squads, but there are a lot of them I think

Lines are just what you need to get BEFORE you can get something else
Quick question: i have unlocked the Tiger E in normandy but not in berlin, i get to keep it or everything resets?
You keep the Tiger E for all campaigns/theatres it'll be available in :)

This looks like a way better system. I am already familiar with this type of sytem since i play war thunder. :) edit. Question. So if i had a vg-2 from berlin will it be seen in a moscow battle since its in the 1st tier level.
Any weapon or equipment can appear in any map.
Another month? I thought that the merge would come in 2 weeks max.
It's a guess, could take anything. There's a number of bugs in the test server so if it was to be in 2 weeks only it would be extremely impressive by the devs to fix everything in that time and get everything else ready

There aren't any "special" squads being removed apart from 1 free squad that is good to get, and some weapons and premium squads. But I'll let you know in a few days ;)
I dont like the tier system in matchmaking. How am I supposed to fight enemy T34 in a Tiger II H ?

There is an achievement on the Xbox version of this game to hit level 20 in a campaign, how in the heck do i do that now?
I have the same question. I was at campaign lvl 18 and even though i have completed couple of the shorter researches im still at 18/20.

I noticed after the update that I lost A LOT of my clothing items that I grinded for before and I'm deeply upset
This shouldn’t happen. It might be because your squads kept their uniforms and then that squad was hidden away in the reserve when the update hit
@@MajorMcDonalds Scheisse that might of been what happened instead of the squad I had when I stopped playing for awhile there was a different set of squads and when I re equipped my squads the uniforms were gone now I have to go through a long ass grind to get my outfits back DAMNIT

The merge Altho, different and similar to war thunder, and I don’t hate everything about it.
But 80% of it SUCKS!!!!
The whole thing on why I loved playing was to choose campaigns and upgrade and set up my squads in each one.
Now I have one “Allies” or “Soviet” or “German” group, with all of my others thrown in, with weapons and outfits… it sucks.
I enjoyed using the British in Tunisa with my Stens and Winchester 12 gauge with my Lee Enfields No4’s and also switching to Normandy where I have my Americans with M1’s. Then Russians in Moscow with my classes there. Then having a whole different set up in Berlin.
My main focus was Germans.
And man, it does kinda work out cause I only used Germans in Berlin but that was my main focus and what I played the most so it helps kinda.
But fuck, it sucks…..
I really really really enjoyed the separate and unique campaigns .
Sucks it’s all mashed together.
I use my Moscow Russian squads and get tossed into Stalingrad and Berlin maps with Germans using those themed weapons and my BT can’t even search the panthers.
And there’s no point using the British with my No4’s when I’m up against MP40’s and mg34’s.
Man, my set up with the Stens and 12 gauge class Assaulters were fucking dope as fuck man,
I loved dropping one after another with that thing.
Now when I try I can’t even get close cause the maps are medium distance and the opposite groups have far more superior weapons to drop me before I get anywhere I like to be but the one good thing is the shotgun does travel a decent distance lol.
My problem is that not only enemy being coward sitting in non combat area using tanks but the tanks they use is impossible to destroy for its battle rating, i dont mind sherman in pacific because its at least accurate but wtf is crusader doing in pacific
you did it wrong, this research points need gold to convert it to exp like in war thunder

@@stormer9952 hell let loose is great, and its the best ww2 mil-sim shooter since post-scriptum but sometimes i just don't want to walk for 10 minutes from spawn to shot from a sniper (exaggeration, but you KNOW what im talking about) but this game will be the War-thunder of shooters
@daroth7127 I totally agree in HLL a lot of maps are barren but that's just due to realism. Don't get wrong I love Enlisted but I'm not a fan of devs removing player choice, for example I hate the Pacific maps and mainly play Allies Normandy or recently Allies Tunisia with this update it feels like I'm forced to play maps I don't want to.

@daroth7127 I won't be able to pick what maps I play on, I'll be forced to play on the coverless Pacific maps instead of Normandy or Tunisia.

I hope they use the new tech tree as an opportunity to add guns like the sten mk1 or sten mk 4 or 5
Also btw they announced waaay back that they’re removing a bunch of premium squads like the M16 berthier Beretta M1918 ect

It’s not something to worry about then! Veterans will remember it was an old update basically where they merged campaigns so you play as factions now, rather than one nation but on a specific map, alongside a number of other changes like the tech tree, etc
