That’s a nice looking Bible!!! I’m trying to hold off until I purchase a new one for when I go to church… thanks for the review Tim! Yeah I love the full yapp look as well.
Hi. Schuyler bibles are simply beautiful. Just opening a Quentel and let it lay in your lap is wonderful. Amazing. I like that tooled line. Not sure on that Merlot color or how smooth the cover is. But I like the look of the yapp. And know I would love the feel of it too. I have a zippered black ESV PSQ and never really realized that it was a PSQ. But love to take my zipper PSQ to church. Small, compact, and readable type face. Like u said, go to church bible. I like the ribs on that one as they stick out more than my zipper. I have a NASB Thinline Quentel, brown with black vertical on left side and over ribs. No Jerusalem cross on it. I love it too. And ok with NASB yet like ESV a little more. I like the texture of the goatskin. So thinking I should get an ESV, Quentel, with Full Yapp for next one. What color? I like the Quentel a little better than the PSQ though for size and just holding on to it in general. Thanks for your review. All of your reviews. And thinking back, glad u went to the Masters with your father. Still makes me smile.
I love Schuyler's personal size bibles so much! I've got a NKJV in Imperial Blue, and recently got the ESV in Britush Tan, both beautiful, but if they had full yapp....well, even better!

I, too, bought this beautiful bible, Tim. I have a review of it after keeping in trhe box several months. None of mine have the full yapp. I'm considering ordering an NASB PSQ with full yapp in Firebrick Red. The FB Red isn't as red as it was in the past, unfortunately, but it's still pretty. The sad thing about EB is that my friend in Canada ordered this same Bible and it came very defective with a chunk missing in one of the pages and a huge defect on the spine, plus terrible offset printing on 3-4 pages of the cross references and she called and all they offered was $50 off probably because they didn’t want to deal with Canada shipping and shrugged her off, so hopefully Melissa sees this comment because of that situation they will not get my business ever again along with the other person in Canada, it’s very disappointing to see that come from EB and then to take care of the situation like that. Very sad to see this, I’m sorry your dealing with this issue as well, I will make sure the Facebook groups get knowledge of this as well to see how EB is running a business treating people out of the country like it’s a joke.
@Marina that’s so ridiculous in every way, then shadow banned from the group?! @Marina I too am in Eastern Europe. The last Schuyler I recieved was off. I would have sent it back if it not for the hassle with Customs. I am waiting for my latest one I ordered to clear Customs. If it is like the last one, I will send it back.
Hey Tim, does the way the cross logo is centered bother you at all? It looks to me like it is centered to the edge of the yapp, rather than within the tooled border. How obvious is it in person?
I’m trying to decide between the NIV PSQ blue full yap and the NIV full size blue, full yap blue one. Which one would you suggest? I have a NIV purple full size but not full yap. I love the look of the full yap!
Yes, I received a PSQ with a dented cover. Not because of the grain , but because something was placed on it that dented the cover and you can see the dents from behind the cover. They said it was the grain. So basically they can argue that a defect is the actual grain, and there's nothing, we as the customers can do about it. I was very disappointed.
Lena, I have two Schuyler's, a Cambridge, and have had an Allen. Like you, I have been focused on the physical exterior details because it is, after all, a premium Bible with a premium price. Even to the point of calling evangelical Bible and Allen when things have been less than perfect. However, it is God's Word, the most important part being the words! I hope you enjoy them.
@@kenrock5732 Agreed the Word is the most important, but that's a different issue. A customer should expect a premium product for a premium price. Just like you would expect in a car. You can't just resort to, "oh well, it's running at least". If I dinged my own car that's understandable, but if the manufacturer delivered it to me that way, that's unacceptable. Sadly I just got an email from evangelicalbible confirming that Schuyler discontinued marbled merlot. Next year they “might” have some marbled mahogany, but can’t guarantee. I guess their darker colors (besides black) didn’t sell as well, or there’s an issue with dye supplies…seems weird. A lot of folks really gushed over the merlot and mahogany. Looks like chestnut will be the closest thing coming up in this year’s batch.
I think they're pretty close in terms of floppiness. I tend to baby my calfskin Bibles more than goatskin, just because they seem a bit more prone to bumps and bruises.
It’s funny that your showing this Bible because as I was watching you video about the $15 ESV, I thought about this Bible, if I came into some money…this Bible in the color way of the Allen 52 P. Or 53, I can’t remember which.
You may have addressed this in the video and I missed it. Does the full yapp make the Bible appear bigger than regular PSQ overall? I’m thinking it does, but would you say there’s a noticeable difference?
What are you doing to me, my brother?! I JUST placed and order for an NASB PSQ in marbled mahogany calfskin. The merlot color looked too red-purple-burgundy on their pics. Seeing it on your video now... I don't know that I would have gone with marbled mahogany over this one. It looks like a nice shade of dark brown with a tinge of red.
@@timwildsmith I found the KJV Schuyler Canterbury. Looks wonderful, goatskin, full yapp and red letter. However since Brexit over here in the UK HM Customs & Excise seem to be placing outrageous duty and tax impost on importing a Bible from the US. Very sad. I don't see UK companies, including R.L. @@carrotstick1970 may be so in your opinion bud. I was simply voicing how I love this art. Your opinion doesn’t matter. God matters to me and He’s provided since this post.
@@Bible_Loving_Lutheran I hear you on that. I do. He does provide, but how is the one who made this video supposed to feel when you write the above? It is a luxury. We don’t need luxuries; we can simple admire them. That’s the real fun. Having one, well, then I’d have the worry of spilling coffee on it-or something like that. Now, because of this video, I can see it and enjoy the details with no worries. I felt your message had an energy and spirit that pulled away from the spirit of the deliverer of this great content. We must be happy for one another. We need to decide our priorities and then spend money accordingly. Even though it is a luxury item, it’s do-able for most people if a goal is set. My mom has saved her money. She came from a three-room shack with no running water. She has been very successful, yet she still “poor mouths,” about “wish I could,” “can’t afford.” She can afford just almost anything. It’s the poor-mindset she has as opposed to the mindset of abundance that keeps her “poor-mouthing.” I moved her nearby and went to work immediately on helping her change her language, as a child of God, to that of abundance. She can decide to not spend the money, but she’s no longer allowed in my presence to “poor mouth.” A luxury Bible is not like a luxury car, home, or even a luxury tiny home; a luxury Bible is something most people can afford, even if it takes a year in a separate savings stash. What I don’t like to see is the use of language of lacking toward another person. It’s like hitting them with a stick. Others feel the energy. It would be as though the expected response is, “Oh, I’m so sorry. Here, have mine.” When all the while he saved for it. He could’ve instead gone out one night to a fancy restaurant, gone to an expensive concert the next town over, got a new suit, a new pair of shoes that would last forever, but he chose this, and then he took the time to share it with us. We can be offended, inspired, entertained-or whatever. He is bearing that risk by posting. I want (as a school teacher at heart) to encourage you to speaking from a place of abundance and plenty, not ever from a place of lacking, no matter what the topic. I can never “not afford” anything, I don’t want things that are not in my budget, yet I enjoy admiring things without the pressure of wanting it. There is power there. There is encouragement to others in this way; there’s glory to God in this way. This mindset of plenty is a residual of a heart that’s overflowing with gratitude, with thankfulness of all God has provided: air, light, water, sunshine, food, a roof over my head. A luxury Bible? COOL! How utterly cool to see with no demands of ordering and realizing the font is too small-or whatever. I got to admire this Bible right here with you, my brother in Christ. We owe our brother who posted this nothing but gratitude. This was what I chose to watch with my morning coffee. The happy music was playing in my heart, but the message above was like the needle going across the top of the record, and the happiness stopped with a message upon which I knew I must write in to challenge the spirit of. You are my brother in Christ. I’ll close with a prayer for you and all who have commented, and our brother who so kindly posted. I wish you all the best.❤️
Bro, show a little more appreciation. Tossing everything away is not cool. They are expensive bibles, turn the pages with respect. They are free for you but not for us. God bless

1 Question. Are you a Calvinist-Reformed-OSAS-Sinners Prayer-Predestined-Faith Only/Alone "christian"?
I don’t think so.
I just wish they would re-do there NKJV concordance; way too small of a font
Maybe one day!

Bro, show a little more appreciation. Tossing everything away is not cool. They are expensive bibles, turn the pages with respect. They are free for you but not for us. God bless
Hey buddy would you happen to know if they ever intend on releasing this exact bible in the NLT? Or atleast any psq
I’m sure they will at some point.
