SEX.PLANATION by Louise Hervouet, Product Design

Sexuality can be a sensitive, complicated, taboo, sometimes forbidden subject, and yet it is part of everyone's life to the point of influencing our relationships. As a designer, I believe that knowledge and understanding of oneself and others is one of the keys to a more egalitarian and inclusive society, and it seemed essential to address the way sex education is taught in order to promote the values of respect and equality. This conviction paved the way for the project called SEX.PLANATION.
SEX.PLANATION is a comprehensive sexuality information service offered to school educators. This service is primarily dedicated to middle school students and aims to provide them with the information they need to learn about themselves, their bodies, their gender and to understand others, their differences and similarities. Thus, the service deals with subjects such as consent, pleasure and desire which are rarely discussed in schools. Composed of three different devices, SEX.PLANATION allows for a gradual discovery in three steps: first, a mediation support to help the speakers with their explanations; then, two educational games to facilitate the communication between the teenagers and finally, an application that enables them to find, in intimacy, all the information they need.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
