Also, Boarding House (e.g.) is available immediately because it's a "settlement/town" building. You may have been thinking about "town" buildings which would wait until the town phase.
Btw, according to the rules all bid order doesn't change, even if you're outbid. I.e. after green is outbid by blue, he would wait until after both red and yellow have bid before he could rebid.
Good video - I'm a fan of the game and I agree that it is lighter than some of my favorites (Age of Steam, Agricola and Puerto Rico). That said, if you play with someone who figures out that going into debt isn't that bad then you'll see that the game does offer a bit more strategy than you previously thought. If a couple of auctions aren't being bid up to 12$ or more by the city phase then nobody has figured it out yet. :)

Oh I was MAJORLY in debt in most of my games.
