Myrmes is a french game, then if you want to pronounce it in french the "y" is the "i" in Charlie, (in french y is a double i, and in french "i" is pronounced "e"). The "es" at the end would be pronounced like in the word "less" (normally you don't say the "s" sound at the end of a word in french, but here it is an exception).
I think Ryan's review is pretty spot on for this one. I played it once at BGG.Con and didn't really enjoy it. It's thinky and tight but doesn't pull it off in a fun way the way Agricola does for instance. The player interaction really only happens on the late second or third year of the game so it felt pretty solitary until then. I don't think the fun justifies the complexity in this case, but that's just my opinion.

you can listen to the sound at website trictrac dot tv slash video-myrmes-de-la-partie, a demo game with the creator and editor of the game
how DOES one pronounce this game?
Very true.
It's pronounced murmes... ant in ancient greek is myrmex and y un greek is u
Why a lot of Americans not just try to pronounce a foreign word correctly. For me this seems a bit disrespectful.
