Oh Lindsay I absolutely LOVE your watercoloring technique! You are so comfortable watercoloring you know it by the back of your hand! Ha ha I love how when you come across something you don't like you say oh well and just change it! It's so great that you are able to make your picture up as you go along! This one is quite a Beauty! I love the added Ivy! I'm starting to see that my favorite water coloring's are wet on wet and loose paintings! Thank you!
your paintings are like watching magic happen! I am still a total beginner, and love seeing the different techniques you can do. I don't know why, but I am afraid of painting on my own, without you. I have taken a few watercolor classes, but learn more from watching you, and then try to duplicate it. How you create, and the way you teach makes it all feel "do able", fun, and understandable. Thank you so much for so freely sharing...people all over the world are watching, becoming creative, even on a tight buget and it truelly makes life better for us...diane
I can't wait to try this one tomorrow. I painted your sweet pea one of your other Peony paintings today. I am excited to try this one. Thank you so much for your wonderful real time videos.
Hi Lindsay! Just reading your posts on this video. Notes from all over the world! Very exciting! You bless and teach so many of us and everyone seems to be thankful for you and your sharing your wonderful talent! Lots of people wishing you and your family all the best for this year! I think it's awesome to see! And this is only a fraction of people who watch you videos cos do many watch but don't post! Very nice! So happy for you! :) !!
Lindsay, your videos are so soothing. You kind of remind me of Bob Ross with how you talk about techniques and stuff. It's great. Thank you so much for your videos.
Gorgeous!!! XXX Happy New year! This marks 2 years since I have been following you and learning from you! :) it has been so fun and awe inspiring to watch you. Cheers to another exciting year ahead of frugalcrafter watching!
You are so cute. I have watched so much of your videos through the last few years, but I never get tired of listening to you . I feel like I'm sitting right next to you no matter what year you videoed, now being 2017.
Man oh man! Today was a rough day in my classroom. The kind of rough where I just have to laugh because otherwise I might cry. 😆🤣😂😆 Watching you paint this was the perfect nightcap. Thank you for being you! 💖
Lindsay: I adore your spontaneous, impromptu peony painting. Thanks for showing us how to correct ones errors and just go with the flow. Happy New Year, and all the BEST in 2017!! We, here on the West coast, have another 10 hours left in 2016! Thanks you for all your tutorials.
Happy New Year Lindsay from Hollister, California! Thank You for another year of great fun, crafts, inspiration and happiness! Much love and gratitude, Anne 💕💖💞💟💗💌
Great video Lindsay! 😆 Happy New Years!! 🍾🎉 We are getting snow tonight too, so we are hunkering down and enjoying a quiet evening. Hubby has an extremely hard time with fireworks, so I am thankful the weather is not permitting. That and this being a college town, we definitely don't venture downtown. The pine cone doesn't drop for 6 more hours here. 2017 got here fast! I tried to look up the s85 brush, but kept getting Robert Simmons sapphire...which that isn't it...lol 😉 I did see brushes similar on a wholesale site, but it says they are sable.
Lindsay you read my mind! I'm still relatively new to watercolor and I have found your videos to be so helpful and inspiring! And it's funny, more times than not you end up painting the same thing that I've been working on. Brilliant minds haha It always helps because I search your videos when I get stuck and you almost always have a tip that helps. Thank you and keep making your wonderful videos :)
You must have seen my state that Peonies are my favorite flowers! You did this just for me right, LOL. I grabbed some cheap printer paper when I saw the title and was all set to try and wing it (as in actual sketching rather than tracing) then you began doing it freehand, eeekkk! I can't imagine when I'll feel confident enough in my ability to do this (or at least to do it well)! All kidding aside, lovely painting and the addition of the vines adds a wonderful touch of whimsy. A very Happy New Year to you and your family. Finding art in 2016 was perhaps the best thing in my own little world; hoping some actual skill will come to me in 2017 :D)!
Gotta love Lindsay! I am painting a traced (six times!) copy of a single, close-up, large peony and it has so many edges/lines. I knew there had to be a better (looser and less lines) way and thought I would check out Lindsay's channel for examples and if I couldn't find what I needed, I would go on to Pinterest and look. Happily I found a longish list of Peonies on Lindsay's channel and with the 2nd one I checked I found just what I needed. A huge thanks to Lindsay for this loose and gorgeous peony :D)
I liked this painting and video a lot! I was having a rough day and you just mellowed me out with you conversation and painting. Thanks for sharing this today! Have a great rest of the night and my your 2017 is full of love and health; the success comes from the first two! Hugs from GA!
Loved how you "fixed" the leaf. (I didn't care for it either.) I always have a lot of things to fix so it was great watching. The painting came out beautiful. Thanks from NH.
Happy New Year Lindsay! Beautiful painting! Thank you as always! Enjoy the evening and may 2017 be filled with blessings for you and your family! See you then!
Happy new year from my warm comfy recliner. I enjoy your videos a lot. I'm learning a lot. I just hope I can transfer some of it from my head to my hands and onto paper.
Hi! LindSay, Happy New year and Wishing the very best of health and happiness to you and your family. Thank you for all the wonderful tutorials you kindly share with us over the years. Warm Regards from Australia. Viha
This was fun & beautiful! I love the loose paintings you do.. mine tend to get a bit muddy, but I'm learning finally how not to make mud! 👏🏻 Happy New Year! May it be a bright & shiny one for you, thank you as always for sharing your talent with us!
Happy new year! From Seattle! It's supposed to snow here too yuck! Don't like snow it should stay in the mountains lol! Love you're flowers thanks for sharing 💜😄
How come even if you are just "playing" it still comes out so pretty? Happy new year from Saudi Arabia! Looking forward to more of your videos. God bless!!!
Yea the pink splatters really brought it to I was also thinking ti looked like some dainty flowers in the background liek a beautiful photograph with flowers out of focus. And I don't care for the white it's very bright only for a crisp black image or somethings I enjoy the more natural toned colors
I don't know if this is something that has ever been done before but I am in need of some new masking fluid and was wondering if you ever ran a test on them? There are many times that I would like to own the bottle w/ the fine tip instead of constantly dipping back an forth. Also if there holds much difference with the companys and color's. I think that blue one would be great when I'm working and going back abd forth with a magnefier and getting lost in the clear lol! Just a thought should you need a great idea on something to do. Thanks Nancy
Happy New Year! Signed up for your group year-long class Lifebook 2017! I am determined to spend more time with creating glorious mixed media messy fun! Work thing gets in the way, but need to play with my art supplies more. Looking forward to your and Mandy's (you two are the only people I recognize) classes. How many will you have? Paula in Florida
The peony is my favorite flower of all time !!!
Happy new year, Gracie! We just made it here :)
This was fun to watch... again! I the petal separation is excellent - yes, loose and lovely!
AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! First time I've ever watched anyone paint using watercolor. Blown away at how it just does its thing without much help. Wow.
+Suzy Andy thanks:) I hope you try it;)
