That’s a little blues lick that’s all over rock n’ roll songs. I think of it as the Smokestack Lightning lick, it’s very common. Another good example is Boom Boom by John Lee Hooker.

You can literally see and hear what he’s doing, why would you need an explanation? Maybe go start with something a little easier like Twinkle Twinkle little star and then come back when you’re ready.
