    You could make this into a whole series, I would watch it all 😊
    And like everyone says, anyone would be lucky to have you as their teacher. I’ve watched a couple of your Ulysses discussions now (which is somehow very interesting even though I haven’t read it) and I saw your reaction when one of the other members of the group had a different opinion than the rest, and you just lit up! And I thought that was so great, for anyone but especially for a teacher. Encouraging people to think for themselves and providing a safe space to express those thoughts. I can see you doing that all over the place.
    It makes me so happy to think that you enjoyed your career so much.
    And I love pasta too 😊

      Oh Ellen, you do my heart such good! Thank you for this lovely comment. I have to tell you, I answered all of your questions in my Part 2 installment, and then the video disappeared! It stopped filming in mid-stream, which has never happened before, and I had to do it all over again. I picked different questions to answer and decided that I will revisit yours in Part 3. Thank you, again, for being so supportive! You are a treasure.

    The reasons to like you keep piling up: you're Italian! So we not only share a love of books but a common heritage. Well, half of one anyway! I really enjoyed listening to you reminiscing about the many cucina di povera dishes on which you were raised, like I was.

    Good Morning Pat. This video came up on my feed today. It is amazing how booktube really does expand a person's variety of book genre's. I chuckled when you were talking about being Irish and Italian. I worked with a nurse that was 100% Irish and her husband was 100% as well. I asked her for her best Irish recipes and she said. Marcia, Marcia... there are no good Irish recipes. 🤥I guess that is why her favorite place to order in during our shift was a local Italian restaurant! 😁

    • @BookChatWithPat8668
      @BookChatWithPat8668  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi Marcia! What a great story!! Yes, the Italians are surely known for their food. The Irish, not so much! 😉 Most of my extended family is this same Italian-Irish mix. It’s a good combination, actually. Funny that this video came into your feed! It took me four videos to get through the questions. Crazy! 😊

    I was in your class when you taught The Scarlet Letter! I remember liking it, though I can’t say I’ve ever been tempted to reread it. I do remember Hester and Dimmesdale and some of the more vivid passages. On another note, if you have an Audible subscription, I strongly recommend listening to To Kill a Mockingbird as read by Sissy Spacek! She is an exquisite reader.

    I have recently discovered your channel and am enjoying your reviews very much! I have 3 thrillers to recommend that you might enjoy:
    The Quiet Game by Greg Iles
    The Eye of The Needle by Ken Follett
    Killing Floor by Lee Child
    Mysteries are my favorite genre with SFF a close second. The Follett is a spy thriller, but the other 2 lean very much towards a mystery. You may have read all 3, but I wanted to reciprocate. None of them is terribly graphic. Enjoy your reads!!
