Thank you everyone for the nice comments...I had almost forgotten about this video , I am super happy that people are still checking it out...You guys are inspiring me to get back on the units...
Thanks for this av been playn guitar for 30years and a bought ma first volca keys last week am planin on geting a few more youv realy inspired me thanks 👍👍☺
I had no idea there was a loop length in the keys!!! that's awesome! great tip thankyou. I adore the music. so much groove. I keep watching this over and over!
by far and away the best video i have seen with these sick little boxes. Had no idea about the loop length feature either, awesome. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you bpbutler , you will enjoy the heck out of these things , they're small enough to fit into a backpack , and run on batteries , fun on the run...
Hi S.W.Eagle , 1983 is just the song name , because it reminded me of the new wave pop music that I grew up with , Yes , the Volcas are very new...Thank you...
Thank you Wave Strike , I grew up in L.A. in the '80s listening to KROQ radio , I have Depeche Mode , Omd , Duran Duran etc. deep routed in my DNA , haha
+Víctor Cuenca Gracias Victor! Espero que te veo cuando vaya a Galicia en Octubre , para el Pantin Classic torneo de surf , Volca jam en la playa! Abrazo...
+pabloplato Thank you , just go for it , the most amazing thing about these are the happy accidents...I find the more you attack them with no plan at all , the best stuff happens...
Thank you so much Robin , this was the first time using the Volca Keys for the bassline to take advantage of the longer sequence option , fun experiment...
Hi streglof , I have been using a midi keyboard to input the notes on almost all of my loops , although using the octave knob and twisting around on one note in the loop makes some cool things happen , then you can remove some of the steps , to give it some groove...Thank you for watching!
The Volca keys has a loop length function , so you can get a long enough of a loop to make a chord change ( press function , and select in the tempo selection 1/1 , 1/2 , and 1/4 )...Really cool little boxes...Thank you
Thank you for the nice comment , I am having fun on these things everyday , and they work amazingly synced together with the Monotribe...Thanks again...
how did you get the volca bass to make a bass line that long? I don't see a midi cable so it's not through a sequencer? I can only make a bass line that is half as long as yours, which is rather limiting
The volca keys has a loop recorder with quantize, not a step sequencer exactly. So you can use the clock divider to make it record at 1/2 or 1/4 speed, and if you keep playing as regular, you can get more notes in there.
Actually it's probably in flux mode so it doesn't cut off notes to quantize them. At least that's how the quantize worked while trying that recording technique on my volca fm.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments...I had almost forgotten about this video , I am super happy that people are still checking it out...You guys are inspiring me to get back on the units...

or is this the volca keys I'm hearing? that one has more steps if I'm correct?
