Goosebumps. All over. I soaked the music up from thise era. Trying to move forward in that strange part of becoming an adult. Learning what love can do. How rightfully unfair different love affairs can be. Now, 10 years together, second child on the way. A woman who exceeded my biggest hopes. And made me and made me happy to my core. But. Hearing this song. All the other mesmerizing women, tattoo’d in time. Came back up in the back of my mind. Waves of bittersweet appreciation of what could have been. If they would know me still too. This was 4 minutes of magic. What a life.
Wow... different life circumstances, but same feeling... and now I'm trying to navigate Adulthood 2.0 when a parent dies and the kids are growing too fast and you aren't ready to be who you were supposed to be when you grew up but time's up. Sink or swim, babe. And his music is still the low-light lake I float on as the night drifts down to cover me. Soak up the time you're in right now. Inhale it, full to the toes. I don't know if there's another one like it later. I hope so. ❤
No artist comes close to Bon Iver in terms of the quality of the music - it just comes from a place of truth and real meaning. He hits things very few can and very few have. He deserves much more credit. Incredible.
Yeah that's an outrageous comment. Might be how you feel. And although your opinion is yours and is subjective, you are objectively wrong, sorry. You could spend the next 5 years just going through Dylan or Van Morrison' back catalogue to see just how wrong you are, and I could give you 200-300 more that this guy doesn't deserve to share a stage with. And that isn't hate. Just a fact!
i bought a ticket the night before, rushed to try get my covers for work, couldn't get covered. Decided to leave work early without telling anyone at 5pm to get to Sydney, as i live in Canberra. Got home to find out my brother had taken the car to work...so i rushed to get a murrays bus to sydney at 6, success! then, checked in to a hostel last minute in the city, so i didn't have to go to my aunt's in blacktown as planned. Time is now 9.45pm. Show began at 8.. Arrived at about 10pm, after running over some bridge past a chinese garden? but was told by security it was already finishing up, rushed through the door, and this exact song was playing about 20 or so seconds in. Stopped in the corridor, and cried a little because this was the first song i had ever heard someone sing live (in a youtube video) that made me feel like everything was going to be chaos in my life, but more so like a loved one embracing you in silence, it would all be fine. The next few years of my life from hearing this at the age of 19, were the most difficult i have ever had, and i am sure they'll be more to live through. I'm 27 now. I stood in that corridor damp faced, lightly singing along, remembering every single moment that led me to being there, alone, like i usually am in life, but i didn't feel an ounce of loneliness, because i know that people everywhere in the world as i write this giant ass comment, are singing along to Justin, Bon iver, and other beautiful artists to feel all the feelings of life, be it sadness, gratitude, or detachment. Some are crying, some are packing, vacuuming, laughing, drinking, and most are just being a little closer to alive like i am right now to the present. I hope to one day see a full Bon Iver concert, and to hopefully not get fired again after going to said concert lol If you have read through all the above, thank you so much for reading, and for that, here's a few links you might like from a fellow Justin Vernon lover. You know... sometimes I think this world is doomed... nothing new under the sun and people are lost. And I'll see something like this and remember how many, many people love Justin Vernon and I think... I think maybe we'll be okay.
Bon Iver ??? Hmmm.... Bon Jovi?? Wow whats next? Bon fire 🔥. What has american music come to? I wonder how this would sound if Slayer wrote it lol lol.
The fact that he can play this with the amount of conviction he has after playing for thousands times is a testament to Justin’s talent.
Thank you so much for this!

Easy there.... no artist?
Listen to more music.
Bon Iver is good sure, but not even close to the best. But you can have your favorite!

@Andy mark knopfler, John mayer, etc etc
@@peterhrkal8165 bruh not john mayer
@paolo thorpe if Eric clapton calls him a master guitarist that's good enough for me. Listen to Mayers' cover of magnolia by JJ cale
Great folk musicians always make me cry. So much pain written into music.
Who else do you recommend
@@CheeksOfButt the entire inside llewyn davis soundtrack and old von ronk tunes
This isn’t folk music it’s actually good 😊
The song is actually not folk music. It's indie, the most unique music genre ❤
I admire so much a person that gets on stage alone and brings the talent...Just incredible.
WOWWWW EMOJI & LOOOTSA love n gratitude !!!
So awesome! I saw him at an outdoor venue in Maine and it was amazing !
thank you so much for this. Sounds amazing, best song ever
It’s great when the crowd sings in unison, but nothing beats a silent crowd just appreciating a masterpiece.
100% agreed
What a blessed audience.
pretty cool, haven't seen him play this live in a while
His performance in this session is amazing.
Such a soulful tune.
could definitely sense how heavy and soul crushing this song emits to the crowd. a strange act of his tunes we couldn't fathom.
ayy i was there!!!!

Come on, skinny love, just last the year
Pour a little salt, we were never here
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer
Tell my love to wreck it all
Cut out all the ropes and let me fall
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Right at the moment, this order's tall
And I told you to be patient
And I told you to be fine
And I told you to be balanced
And I told you to be kind
And in the morning, I'll be with you
But it will be a different kind
'Cause I'll be holding all the tickets
And you'll be owning all the fines
Come on skinny love, what happened here?
Suckle on the hope in light brassiere
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Sullen load is full, so slow on the split
And I told you to be patient
And I told you to be fine
And I told you to be balanced
And I told you to be kind
And now, all your love is wasted
Then who the hell was I?
'Cause now I'm breaking at the bridges
And at the end of all your lies
Who will love you?
Who will fight?
And who will fall far behind?
Come on skinny love
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my

Hope that isnt a bud light in his hand.
Dude, don’t be that guy
So what if it is ? He’s not obliterated
I hate listening to cellphone recordings
So why are you here then? Chins up, Frans.
