Superb Scenery and operations. Excellent layout and camera work. Film any of this outside in sunlight, and I would argue with you that this was real, and not a model. Fantastic Job !!!
Yes, Bill has done a fantastic job on the scenery. It's the most "lush" layout I've ever seen. And agreed, if this was filmed outside in the sun with proper sound effects, it would look very real.
I would have liked to have been able to follow the prototype line during the era you model. Part of the line runs along Hwy 94 between West Alton and Machens.
Yes, great greenery here and that black Burlington Route freight scheme was a winner. Norfolk Southern needs to use something other than black paint, could take a cue from Burlington.
Yep. Those empty gondolas look way too shiny and plastic, especially inside where you'd expect soot, grime and dings and dents. When I saw boxcars roll by so shiny that the terrific scenery was reflected in the glossy finish... well that took me out of the moment.
Very realistic scenery a well-done layout really enjoyed watching it. I do have a question however I inherited one of my grandfather is HO scale diesel engines it's a Union Pacific and they also gave me one of his coal cars which is very similar to what I see running on your layout only it says Illinois Central on it when it be unusual for a Union Pacific engine to be pulling an Illinois Central coal car?
Great video. I enjoy the Burlington. My dad worked for the Milwaukee Road for many years, and we were able to ride on the City of Denver when I was a kid. How did you get the katydid sounds in the background? This video is very fun to watch.
That is some of the most " realistic" looking hill side vegetation I have ever seen! Beautiful attention to extreme.detail, GREAT JOB..Also do you guys use rubber pellets in the hopper cars to simulate coal? TY always fun to watch these vids.
It is VERY realistic scenery, looks even better in person. What most guys use for coal loads here are either black ballast, or painted resin coal loads.
The camera work makes the scenery more realistic. The reproduction of the greens and other parts is one of the best Ive ever seen. Awesome!!!
I can't take credit for any of the layout, but the camera work is all me! :D I agree though, this is a beautiful layout and the scenery is fantastic.
The trees, grass and bushes is awesome. Very impressive. Great layout👍

A really enjoyable video, thank you for letting us watch.
just went by Machens yesterday. Power plant still there and now the BNSF unit trains serve it. The MKT is now the famous Katy Trail east end of line
Wow, love the scenery. Nice job. Great videography. Gave me some ideas for my layout.
Great layout and camera work!
I grew up about a block and a half from the CB&Q line in Spanish Lake, near Trampe Rd.
Gorgeous layout. The greenery is some of the best you'll find anywhere. Not a puffball tree in sight! lol
Beautiful, that lush foliage really complements the trains.
That is one lush layout. Magnificent!
Great layout, love the scenery!
All that green looks so alive! 😍
Love the F unit locomotives
Just a beautiful layout! Very nice video! Thanks for sharing!
a work of art.
Outstanding layout. Love the Burlington red
Beautiful layout! Excellent scenery....
yes it is, but weathering, especially the locos and rolling stock is a must!

Can I come there and do a Godzilla?
Nice layout and nice video - just a dab of paint on those shiny rail joiners might make the track a little more realistic.
A video this nice would benefit by cutting out the grabass.
