What stands out to me is the contrast in the weathering of your equipment over the years. Your layout is evolving as time passes into a nicely detailed and operating model railroad!
Thanks for sharing. It’s interesting to look back at times to reflect. I find myself doing that occasionally with my own work to regain perspective. Nice job with the video.
Very interesting and great work, especially the equipment weathering. One suggestion, on the ends of many TOFC loads (but not all), the front and rear ends have vertical streaks of a dirty grime and muddy look, possibly a result of residue from miles and miles of riding a flatcar. This small bit would not be (and is not) noticed by an operating crew busy with watching overall runnin, signals, speed, rules, anticipating what is next on the list, communicating with the dispatcher, etc. (What color of ballast? What fence, field, type of bridge, etc.?) A crew is usually too busy running to notice the nuance of the the surrounding landscape. Operation of a train is very different from observation of the train and the landscape around it.
Absolutely good point. Currently, of my domestic containers and trailers have some degree of the mud kick up on the back doors. Some are very dramatic. Shipping containers to a lesser degree, but can still look the same.
Might be a dumb question, but you mentioned that not alot of the scenery has changed. You made small changes or additions? Do you still enjoy the layout when you get to run your equipment?
Wonderful video, enjoyed it very much! Very good scenery work and interesting trains 🙂
Thank you. Much appreciated!
It's nice to see that great layouts don't just pop out of thin air but are a labor of love created over time.
Exactly. And that should be encouraging as we develop our skills over time.
Super beautiful layout
Thank you!
Awesome layout
Love the video😅
Awesome! The term "less is more" is so important in model railroading and you nailed it!
I agree fully!
Love this layout and it reminds me so much of The Cat Mountain and Santa Fe.
Thanks. That is an amazing compliments as that was the inspiration for me growing up.

Thank you. And there is still a long way to go with detail. Layouts are never done, right?
You are so right!@@atsfslatonsub6257

Thank you. 100%. I have a whole bunch of material should I decide to make something of them.
Great to see all those warbonnets in desert scenery. BNSF don't keep their locomotives as clean as SF did. Great video
No sir. Just lucky to see one if feels like, but I live in Canada, so it is really rare.
Nice video
Thank you! Hard to do it justice!

Be nice if you talk about doing the scenery, to few southwest layouts!
That's a good idea. I should do soemthing on scenery, track etc.

I do for sure, however it’s a seasonal thing for me. Scenery has certainly improved, for the next step is to add the trackside details.
