I can not thank you enough for guiding us on our final in reverse strip with door jams.that we found extremely challenging. Keep up the good work.

Saved me the hassle of tearing down and reinstalling door jambs. Cheers!

This is great. I've always worked away from doors. Now I have no choice but to work my way towards one I've been wondering how to get the end piece in. Great tip, really well explained and demonstrated

First time if seen your videos but I’ll be using this at the weekend as I’ve got 90sq/ft to lay in my new home lol

What a lifesaver! Too bad my flooring is not tapping in as easy as this though.

How is this supposed to work if you have a tongue/groove on the short AND long ends? I'm trying to fit the long tongue into the groove and then tilt down to the floor but the door jamb is in the way on the opposite side. I'd have to cut the board too slim to slide under the jamb if it's to clear it while fitting the board into the groove.

The transition you put under door frame, what tool you use to do the cut just like the reducer shape

Some LVP wont drop straight down on the butt joints. So if you can't tilt it, modifying the tongues is the only way as shown in the video. Sometimes, gorilla glue on the tongues is a good idea to reinforce the tongue and groove connection after you shave it down.

Do you have to end for the transition under the door?

Good video, but confused. There's supposed to be a 1/4" gap around the ends of the flooring, yet the video shows the flooring flush up against the left wall. Also, the markings you made and the way you discussed where the cuts need to be for the door jambs so the transitions work, also seem to leave out the 1/4" gap, as they should not be pressed hard up against the transition strip. The video leaves some crucial parts out, such as showing how close the laminate is to the mounted transition track. Did you even use the metal track for the transition strip? Or did you just use construction adhesive?

Question, do you leave an expansion gap underneath the door jamb too? If so how.

Did this flooring not have tongue and groove on the butt ends? The second piece you installed just dropped into place.

It is a drop system so yes it’s easier than having another lock on the ends.
