4 days in the JUNGLE - Amazonia

I'm Laura, I'm on a world tour. Today, we spend 4 days in Amazonia in Bolivia!
On the program: all kinds of dangerous animals: alligators, caimans, spiders and jaguars... But also crafts and local cuisine. An experience rich in emotions, to meet the community of Rurrenabaque, in Bolivia.

PRACTICAL INFO :
- Budget:
- Tour 1100 BOB (bolivianos) (~163€)
- Pampa entrance (protected area) : 150 BOB (~22€)
- Entrance to the selva (protected area): 120 BOB (~18€)
- Tip: 50 BOB (~7,5€) - Tips at your convenience
- Bus from La Paz to Rurrenabaque (semi-cama on the 1st floor) : 70 BOB (~10€)
- Return bus Rurrenabaque - La Paz (cama on the 2nd floor) : 120 BOB (~18€)
Total : 1560 BOB (~238,5€)
For the 4 days/3 nights tour, with everything included: water, meals, accommodation, transportation
Transport:
- Taxi (20 BOB or ~2€) or collectivo from your hostel in La Paz to the bus terminal in Villa Fatima (up in La Paz).
- Buy your bus ticket on the day or the day before departure at the bus terminal in Villa Fatima (no online purchase possible via Rome2Rio or the company's website, which remains difficult to reach, even on the networks).
- Advice: take the company "Flota Yungueña" and take the bed ("cama") on the floor. It's a bit more expensive than the "semi-cama" downstairs, but it really makes a difference (having tested both on the way up vs. on the way back).
- BACKPACK:
- You can either take all your usual backpack or leave some stuff at the agency before departure and take a small backpack (30L).
- What to bring: sun cream, mosquito repellent, cap, sunglasses, shirts and trousers, swimming costume and towel, trainers or trail shoes are sufficient and high socks, flip-flops. Baby wipes, toilet bag, toilet paper, medicines.
TIPS :
- Bring some extra money (tips, return trip).

Salut Laura, à quelle période as tu fait ton tour et quel était le nom de l'agence à Rurrenabaque? Le trajet en bus depuis La Paz était pas trop risqué ?

Du 24 au 28 oct avec Baldemar. Le trajet fait un peu peur en vrai, mais la nuit on ne voit pas trop 🙂
