The shock on Houston’s face was priceless. I love how you handled that situation, Daniel. You could e gotten mad but instead chose to keep your frustration to yourself. That’s a priceless lesson for a child. We love watching y’all’s family and following your adventures. Thanks for setting a Godly example for us to watch ❤️❤️.

Aww man, I've seen both my boys look at me like that after an accident anticipating a loud talking too. Great job Daniel remaining calm and showing your boy it's not always as bad as it seems. I would've done the same. Houston learned a valuable lesson with no voices raised at all. Love the videos Arms!!

What an expression! If only every fishing trip could be perfect! We all have fishing stories! I caught a sturgeon one year on the Mississippi River. Fought him for an strong hour got him up to the boat and when we went to net him, his head wouldn’t fit in the net and he was longer than the John boat we were fishing in!! The line snapped and I lost him! Had bruises on my stomach to show where and how I was holding the reel they lasted for weeks and the story has lasted for years! Your a great fisherman Houston!!!

That brought back memories of the time my Daddy to me and my sister fishing at a neighbors pond down the road. We were fishing from the bank though. We had a stringer full of fish and my sister would fuss who got to add the fish to the stringer. My turn I added the fish then had a hard time putting the spike in the ground. So I found some soft mud to stick it in. When it was time to go the stringer was nowhere to be found. Those fish had swam off stringer and all. Of course she reminded me for years. Lol

So we took off for home and all of a sudden my husband shut it down and I was like what are we doing?? Hi Daniel and Houston.
I use a bucket with an aerator to hold my fish. It's a 5 gallon that I fill half to 3/4s full of water. You could also use a wire fish basket over the side of the boat. I switched because I had 10 large bluegills on a stringer tied to a tree branch which broke and they got away. I like the bucket because it keeps the fish well, so they are fresh when I clean them and if I don't catch enough I can release live fish. My bucket has a seat cover as I did, have a few fish try to jump out to escape. Plus, a place to sit.
All in all you had a nice fishing day, but a couple changes could've made it better. May the Lord keep blessing you and yours. Love you guys.

But when I was lifting it into the boat the rope broke and down went the basket of fish. My Grandpa tied on a spoon lure and on the 3rd drop hooked the basket. One in a million catch the good Lord was looking out for us that day.

Accidents like that are a part of fishing. Be it your pole going over the side while you help put the stringer back out to pulling in a wire fish basket with live fish still in it. I remember my Dad put the anchor out, with choppy waves, and the bouncing untied it down below! Fishing stories cover everything that could go wrong, that did go wrong!
It's all a part of fishing, and lessons learned. Houston will never have that happen again.
