Wow great memories of those old Pocket Fisherman’s! I had one as a kid back in the late 1970’s and use to catch trout with it when I lived in the mountains of southwestern Virginia. The one that was sent to you in the box is worth a lot of money. It’s probably close to 50 years old. Some vintage fishing tackle collectors have been known to pay several hundred dollars for a new in the box Pocket Fisherman like the one you received. There were even TV commercial’s back in the 70’s marketing those cool little fishing rod & reel combos. I look forward to seeing you guys at the creek. 🤠

Dad was a fighter pilot and flew F-111s in Mtn Home ID. We got transferred to Langley VA were he was on the IG team. He had to go back to ID once a month to fly the F111s because the no F111s were on the east coast. He ALWAYS took his pocket fisher back to ID on those trips. I still have that pocket fisherman. Fun memories

I had a pocket fisherman!! I'd say it's from the early 70s. My first pole was a stick with a string and a bobby pin.😂 Then a bamboo pole. The pocket fisherman was great 👍 we could take it anywhere on our bicycle. I loved it!!!

You’re just out there fishing but more importantly you are raising a young man. These times are so important. You’re doing a great job. Don’t take your time together for granted. One day he will have his own family, he will be a wonderful husband and father.
Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
