Where I ride there is a welsh pony named Devon who had a nasty cut that got infected and cost him his sight in his eye. He was not a rescue, nor was he neglected when he was injured so not exactly the same but this story really reminded me of him. He is one of the most athletic horses at the barn despite his size and has come off his injury stronger than ever, if not a bit out of shape. He jumps around 4ft consistently and is doing well :) horses are truly amazing, I’m not sure how they do it!
