The pedal is just amazing. I recently used it in combination with my Dingwall D-Roc to recreate the identical sound of Justin Chancellor (TOOL). Thank you, Darkglass, it really doesn't get any better than that - unless you make a version as a flooramp, including a power amp

@@h0nza_ there was a prototype unit that said 400 which Nolly did use in some of the early videos for this pedal. Production version has always said 500. This was talked about on talkbass because I guess some folks have power supplies that wouldn’t handle 500. Doug pointed out that the one that said 400 was a prototype.

I have this pedal and love it. Just curious what happened to the original "ADAM" branding.
There's a German studio speaker company called ADAM Audio that sent a cease & desist letter, so they changed the name to avoid a lawsuit.

Is the pedal in the video the exact same settings as the recording?
This is probably a mixed recording, so there may be some tweaks in the mix, but the idea is to get the best source tone.
Nice pedal but the lack of send fx loop makes this a no go for me. It would be also nice to have toggle switch which deactivates entirely the multiband compression if possible.
Where would the loop sit in the signal path in the ADAM?

💯 it would’ve been an instant buy for me if it had an fx loop for modulation and time based effects. Would’ve replaced about 4 or 5 pedals too

Doesn’t work for headphones and defeats the purpose of having and amp and cab sim with headphone out

I love DG and own the AO pedal and the 900 microtube head but I'd like to see more demos with a bass other than a Dingwall Haha

@@davidmorneau5260 very true, I get a great tone with my Spector classic 5, everytime I see these demos the tone is identical. Shame really.

It still wouldn't do this pedal justice. I've had mine since early this year, and omg it's amazing. This and a noise gate is all I use live now
@@sidthebassist89 that’s the thing that sucks about bass. The true beauty needs to be seen when cranked on an amp. Big low end and boom
@@blubbermammoth8426 this pedal is designed to be used as a DI without an amp, but the multiple outputs and software configuration allow you to send a signal with cab sim to FOH and signal without a cab sim to an amp for stage volume. I don't use it with an amp and honestly, as long as your monitoring is good you don't need one with this.

If you made a pedal with this functionality but with the existing distortions, it would sell like hot cakes! I love the functionality of this pedal, but I just don't love the tones

I Love Darkglass pedals, but this one was a little disapointment to me, because of the digital drive circuits. I mean the compressor, cabs sims etc sound awesome, but the distortion sound plastic and very digital. It sounds nothing like the rest of the analog pedals, shame there was no info anywhere about it, so i returned it
I personally run my B7K ultra clean as my preamp into the Adam. I ran the adam by itself and while it sounded decent, adding in the B7K made the tones easily 1,000x better IMO. That being said, if they released the adam design in the B7K style like they just did with the photon (alpha omega) it would be even better

Just because both have a drive doesn't mean they are used for the same thing.
Before you do anything else, you should learn to play the bass properly first. It's NOT a guitar.
