I know the overall technique is great, the solos are tasty, the vocals impressive, and the bassline is really clever how she keeps up with the guitarist AND maintains that bottom line so well - but can we all take a moment to appreciate the absolutely technical and articulate the drums are.
A good drummer carries the band through the performance. You can hear how she pulls the others through towards the end. Ask keith richards how many times charlie had to pull him during a performance.

They all so fkn cool in their own way. Damn Charismatic, down to earth presentation and music. The drummer rocks! As a metal fan in the 80s. I got to admit, like some of you have mentioned. They sound very Iron Maiden like. The lead singer even sing like a female Bruce Dickensen. I never thought i've going to hear music like that ever again. I love watching this video, because the camera work is pretty good. The princesses are out in the sun, and they always look beautiful! Midori has dark hair! And I can see Haruna behind the kit! Haruna is tearing it up back there! The sound may not be perfect, but it's always great to SEE them in action! The sound issue was totally not their fault. My only complaint is, I wish they would have got to play more songs!

Check out "Unleash the Archers" from Vancouver, Canada prefferably their last 2 CDs Apex (2017) and Abyss (2020), they do rly epic power metal and Brittney Slayes has voice of laser beam kind. Or hard rock band "The Warning" from Monterrey, Mexico. Very young 3 sisters, have some serious hits (their own), got attention of Kirk Hammett a few years ago with their cover of Metallica song (22M views) when they were just a kids (from 9 to 14 at the time of cover recording). Got serious appreciation of Joe Elliott (after they opened for Def Leppard at festival, as a random local act, they were selected specificaly for a next concert of Def Leppard cause DL rly liked them). These sisters has newest single (Evolve) out for a few days now, real banger - and they will participate on new Metallicas produced compilation of covers called "Blacklist" this fall, will be opening for Foo Fighters and also their own 3rd album is almost out (probably in a few days/weeks)

I came across them because of the vocalist dueting with Lzzy on Halestorm's Love Bites (But So Do I). Very impressed seeing them live(ish). These ladies know how to play metal better than a lot of male centered bands. I'll be looking for them from now on. \m/
They were on stage fairly early on, so never going to get the best sound or the impact of one of the headline bands, but oh.my.fucking.god. that was incredible. Shadowmaker was unbelievable - imagine what it would be like if they had full on stage lighting, pyro and a good FoH mix. They probably need a couple more stand out songs IMHO to step up, but there is no doubting this band's talent.
This is so wicked! The former drummer and bassist from Destrose! And the red haired Destrose guitarist is with Aldious?! Happiness is Metal. I love them all ❤️
Am I losing my mind or are these insanely talented women not even using IEM's? Are they really just using stage volume like the good ol days? I cannot believe the amount of insanely talented female metal bands that Japan produces. And they're all fucking incredible.
They got screwed at this Bloodstock festival. Last-minute stage change, and I heard they didn't even get to do a proper sound-check. And they still played their asses off and put on a hell of a great show, like the total professionals that they are. They use IEM's all the time now. Check out live videos from Tokyo 2020. Lovebites is the best power-metal band on the planet right now.

Are they really just using stage volume like the good ol days? I cannot believe the amount of insanely talented female metal bands that Japan produces. And they're all fucking incredible.
Have you seen their '20 concert in Tokyo? Most songs can be found in UA-cam in HQ since there was a Blu Ray release. Jaw-dropping.
They got screwed at this Bloodstock festival. Last-minute stage change, and I heard they didn't even get to do a proper sound-check. And they still played their asses off and put on a hell of a great show, like the total professionals that they are. They use IEM's all the time now. Check out live videos from Tokyo 2020. Lovebites is the best power-metal band on the planet right now.
