This band has no peer. They are the phenomena of our age. I believe the music industry is afraid of them because they are real and not a corporate fake. All their songs are superior quality like this one because they write their own music. They are true professionals. No fake or weak throw away songs. They formed in 2016, I've been listening to them since. It never gets old or boring. I had the same feeling as you even though I've heard this song many, many times. When I read the name "Wolfpack" I think of the wolf in the cartoons looking at a beautiful woman and his eyes bug out.... but that too seems appropriate for Lovebites as they are very beautiful and pleasant to look at... their music and their talents draws me more than their looks so that is saying something... =D

I am Japanese, so I have a lot of information. I've actually seen it, but it's not that low. Well, I don't know about Love Bites, except for Haruna, the drummer, who is basically in high heels👠. Japanese may have an image of being small compared to westerners, but there aren't many young girls under 1.5m these days. The average height of a woman around 30 years old is about 1.6m.
Miyako is her name. Started playing piano around 3 ! Didn't pick up the guitar till late teens. I had forgotten how much fun it is to watch reactors' faces the first time they see/hear Lovebites. It takes me back to when I first heard 'Shaodoemaker' in the fall of 2017. Been a massively dedicated fan ever since. We should all be grateful that we live in the tme of Lovebites.
The Chopin piece performed by Miyako (guitar/keyboard) as the intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude" In 1831, an uprising of some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, dubbed the "November Revolution", failed due to the direct intervention of Russian forces. Chopin is informed of this news during his travels. he lost his place to return to. When the Russian army invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agents released "Etude OP10, No.12" in Paris. People called it a "revolutionary etude" because of the agent's exaggerated promotion of the song. Miyako composed "SwanSong" with reference to this "revolutionary etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony". Former ballerina Asami (vocals) wrote a poem inspired by Norse mythology and "Swan Lake" based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude". For their 2021 live, they cut Chopin's intro and changed it to a rendition that focuses on Asami's "Swan Lake" choreography. "SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim fatherland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES can complete. LB's songs will give you new discoveries and surprises for each song.

They named the band after the Grammy winning Halestorm song, Love Bites (So Do I). Lead singer , Asami, has joined Lzzy and the boys on stage to perform that song.

She actually just recently left the band..Lovebites to announce her replacement at any moment..Miho shoes will be difficult to fill..

With her eyes closed!!! Miyako plays piano with hers shut. If you go back and re-watch you will see. Miyako is a musical prodigy. She is a classical trained pianist from the age of three. She taught herself to play the guitar at 18, no lessons. LoveBites main genre is 80's style power/thrash metal. For a treat, watch "Burden of Time" live studio version. Watch Miyako closely, when she goes to the keyboard, make sure to watch both her hands!!! Today you saw her play Chopin (Show-pan) as a opener. In "Empty Daydream" she opens with Rachmaninoff. I got bitten a little over 11 months ago, so am still a young wolf and member of the loyal WOLFPACK although am in my early 70's. I seriously love this band and the feelings they give to me. I have heard all their music, including prior to becoming the band we have now, Lovebites. This group of super talented and dedicated musicians are very special and rare to find. Wow is right. This is a special band with five special members. Miyako is the pianist/guitarist. She composes most of their music. They have almost 50 songs released to date. They go from soft ballads to heavy thrash metal and everything in between. Now do Holy War live.

Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. You chose one of their masterpieces to start with. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. First, thanks so much for reacting to amazing Lovebites; they deserve more recognition. Yes, you’ve just watched greatness and uniqueness. These Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful, versatile and proficient musicians. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Others say that they’re angels that came to planet earth in order to save metal. Miyako is a concert level pianist and also an outstanding guitar player. Asami took ballet classes and she used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Some people say that it’s almost a crime that there’s so much talent in one band. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, Helloween, Angra, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. They really shine in their live performances. They play hard/speed/power/heavy metal. You’ve just scratched the tip of the iceberg; their catalog is about 50 songs and practically no fillers. For a heavy sound, I recommend “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”; for a softer side, I suggest “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “A Frozen serenade”. "Swan Song" was by Miyako, piano/guitar, with the lyrics written by Asami, vocals. All have written songs but Miyako has written about half of their songs with Asami doing the lyrics. Miyako began piano at 3 yo, at 17/18 she decided she wanted play the guitar. She got a "How To" book and a guitar and learned, no lessons!!
As you can see, the invasion of the channel has begun. Fans of Lovebites are some of the few for which the abbreviation is actually true. We are fanatics. Why? Because even in Japan, with so many excellent musicians and bands, Lovebites are relatively unknown. We, the “Wolfpack” feel it an obligation, a duty, to spread their talent as widely as possible and ceaselessly. I’m 62 years old. The band appeared in the UA-cam sidebar after I’d watched a Nightwish reaction…a band I’d raved about when they first got going, and saw live, and was in the process of catching up with after a long break. I had stopped listening to music altogether. After all, who, seriously, would listen to the abject dross that music executives pass off as music nowadays. Certainly not me. I digress. In the sidebar were what appeared to be several ballerinas, or theatrical performers, all drop dead gorgeous. So, being male I thought I’d take a peek. Now I honestly don’t remember what song it was, it was either Empty Daydream or Holy War. It may even have been Swansong. What followed is absolutely true. The song began and i immediately realised that I was listening to some ridiculously talented musicians. That’s 10 seconds in. 20 seconds in I’m already in love with the lead singer because she’s singing rock the way it was sung when I was getting my thorough grounding in rock and metal. 30 seconds and (remember, this is absolutely true) my brain processed the following. I have a new favourite band. I want to hear everything they’ve ever done. I want to own everything they’ve ever done. I must see them live. Now. From that day in December 2020 I confess to having become a Lovebites junkie. A bit of a warning. Entering the Japanese hardrock, metal, punkscene can change Your life. This is just one of all amazing bands from Japan. I blame Babymetal for changing my musiclistening 5 years ago and now I listen to 99% to Japanese music. Bloodywood, Arka'n, is a few examples from the rest of the world I listen to and of course fun bands like Electric Callboy and Nanowar of Steel that makes me smile. Boring western metal is over for me. But living in Sweden and trying to get music from japan is a hard task.

We've never faked a reaction and never will. We were sent a link to react to this and so we did. Some artists are okay with reactors and some are not. We do not have direct line of contact with any of these artists. We have reached out to every person we have reacted to in the past and no response so we must navigate this the best we can. Our view is this. If a band strikes our reaction several times then we take that as them not wanting people to react to their music. We have been informed that LoveBites reactions will always be struck. We are not interested in being unpaid promotors for anyone. The most we've ever made from a reaction is less than $50. We have three children to look after and our time is worth something to us. This was a great reaction video, I can relate to the young ladies' emotions in her eyes. The first time I heard lovebites I had to find my brain I was so blown away. Well, I don't know about Love Bites, except for Haruna, the drummer, who is basically in high heels👠.
Japanese may have an image of being small compared to westerners, but there aren't many young girls under 1.5m these days.
The average height of a woman around 30 years old is about 1.6m.

I had forgotten how much fun it is to watch reactors' faces the first time they see/hear Lovebites. It takes me back to when I first heard 'Shaodoemaker' in the fall of 2017. Been a massively dedicated fan ever since. We should all be grateful that we live in the tme of Lovebites.
The Chopin piece performed by Miyako (guitar/keyboard) as the intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude"
In 1831, an uprising of some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the de facto control of the Russian Empire, dubbed the "November Revolution", failed due to the direct intervention of Russian forces. Chopin is informed of this news during his travels. he lost his place to return to.
When the Russian army invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agents released "Etude OP10, No.12" in Paris. People called it a "revolutionary etude" because of the agent's exaggerated promotion of the song.
Miyako composed "SwanSong" with reference to this "revolutionary etude" and Dvorak's "New World Symphony".
Former ballerina Asami (vocals) wrote a poem inspired by Norse mythology and "Swan Lake" based on the historical background of "Revolutionary Etude". For their 2021 live, they cut Chopin's intro and changed it to a rendition that focuses on Asami's "Swan Lake" choreography.
"SwanSong" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to reclaim fatherland, a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES can complete.

I got bitten a little over 11 months ago, so am still a young wolf and member of the loyal WOLFPACK although am in my early 70's. I seriously love this band and the feelings they give to me. I have heard all their music, including prior to becoming the band we have now, Lovebites. This group of super talented and dedicated musicians are very special and rare to find. Finally guys! This is an amazing band, one of the best metal bands in decades! It's no wonder that Lovebites won Metal Hammer Magazine's Best Band of the Year 2018 award. Over fifty songs and everything is so amazing, so epic.
Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
You chose one of their masterpieces to start with. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Re. "Swan Song": Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). For this performance, she actually played the Etude as a prelude, but it’s not normally included in their shows.

First, thanks so much for reacting to amazing Lovebites; they deserve more recognition. Yes, you’ve just watched greatness and uniqueness. These Japanese women are extremely talented, skillful, versatile and proficient musicians. Some people say that they’re redefining metal. Others say that they’re angels that came to planet earth in order to save metal. Miyako is a concert level pianist and also an outstanding guitar player. Asami took ballet classes and she used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Some people say that it’s almost a crime that there’s so much talent in one band. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, Helloween, Angra, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. They really shine in their live performances. They play hard/speed/power/heavy metal. You’ve just scratched the tip of the iceberg; their catalog is about 50 songs and practically no fillers.
For a heavy sound, I recommend “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “The Awakening/Hammer of wrath”, “Set the world on fire”; for a softer side, I suggest “Empty daydream”, “Edge of the world”, “Epilogue”, “A Frozen serenade”. All live.

"Swan Song" was by Miyako, piano/guitar, with the lyrics written by Asami, vocals. All have written songs but Miyako has written about half of their songs with Asami doing the lyrics. Miyako began piano at 3 yo, at 17/18 she decided she wanted play the guitar. She got a "How To" book and a guitar and learned, no lessons!!

As you can see, the invasion of the channel has begun. Fans of Lovebites are some of the few for which the abbreviation is actually true. We are fanatics. Why? Because even in Japan, with so many excellent musicians and bands, Lovebites are relatively unknown. We, the “Wolfpack” feel it an obligation, a duty, to spread their talent as widely as possible and ceaselessly. I’m 62 years old. The band appeared in the UA-cam sidebar after I’d watched a Nightwish reaction…a band I’d raved about when they first got going, and saw live, and was in the process of catching up with after a long break. I had stopped listening to music altogether. After all, who, seriously, would listen to the abject dross that music executives pass off as music nowadays. Certainly not me.
I digress. In the sidebar were what appeared to be several ballerinas, or theatrical performers, all drop dead gorgeous. So, being male I thought I’d take a peek. Now I honestly don’t remember what song it was, it was either Empty Daydream or Holy War. It may even have been Swansong. What followed is absolutely true. The song began and i immediately realised that I was listening to some ridiculously talented musicians. That’s 10 seconds in. 20 seconds in I’m already in love with the lead singer because she’s singing rock the way it was sung when I was getting my thorough grounding in rock and metal. 30 seconds and (remember, this is absolutely true) my brain processed the following. I have a new favourite band. I want to hear everything they’ve ever done. I want to own everything they’ve ever done. I must see them live. Now.
From that day in December 2020 I confess to having become a Lovebites junkie. I now own everything (except a very rare DVD/BluRay) and I don’t listen to any other music, save the odd reaction of a youngster discovering bands like Deep Purple etc and them being insanely jealous of my generation.

Beyond talented these ladies are. Miyako (virtuoso and piano and guitar) and Midori are the best guitar duo going today, if not ever. Haruna the drummer is an absolute beast. A bit of a warning. Entering the Japanese hardrock, metal, punkscene can change Your life. This is just one of all amazing bands from Japan. I blame Babymetal for changing my musiclistening 5 years ago and now I listen to 99% to Japanese music. Bloodywood, Arka'n, is a few examples from the rest of the world I listen to and of course fun bands like Electric Callboy and Nanowar of Steel that makes me smile. Boring western metal is over for me. But living in Sweden and trying to get music from japan is a hard task.

We've never faked a reaction and never will. We were sent a link to react to this and so we did. Some artists are okay with reactors and some are not. We do not have direct line of contact with any of these artists. We have reached out to every person we have reacted to in the past and no response so we must navigate this the best we can. Our view is this. If a band strikes our reaction several times then we take that as them not wanting people to react to their music. We have been informed that LoveBites reactions will always be struck. We are not interested in being unpaid promotors for anyone. The most we've ever made from a reaction is less than $50. We have three children to look after and our time is worth something to us.
