Hello, thank you for the review and the discussion. I have written the house rules wich you have linked under the comment from Michael (some twists and tweaks... on bgg). I have point out 10 little changes in the rules. Three points are Michaels ideas. These changes are very simple and I think they are worth a try. The game has great art and it deserves some effort to make it work properly. I think the game can be realy good.
Great discussion. I will agree that the game looks gorgeous... so gorgeous, in fact, that I felt inspired to play amateur designer and re-imagine the rules (it's the "Texas Chainpaw Meowsacre" rules re-write on BGG). I won't say my stab (re: chainsaw swipe) is better, but I've had a lot more fun with it.
Hi Mike, good to hear from you! BGG is a great resource for finding house rules and variants, and this is a case where they could make all the difference in the world! Here is Mike's post on BGG as well as another proposing variant rules: boardgamegeek.com/thread/3181924/advanced-gamers-variant-attempt-reimagining-rules boardgamegeek.com/thread/3184768/some-twists-and-tweaks-rules-you-may-appreciate
Here's a link to a BGG discussion thread that touches on some of the problems: boardgamegeek.com/thread/3164650/game-absolutely-terrible-dont-buy-it-rules-complet And a nice concise review that does a better job of reviewing the game than our video: boardgamegeek.com/thread/3172147/some-fates-are-worse-being-turned-human-sausage And a link to Gregg's standalone review: ua-cam.com/video/VOw8TCp5too/v-deo.html

You are aware that the outpost 31 poster in the background is spelled wrong? There is no such continent as "Antarticia".
