CORRECTIONS:
1:04:06 - Franklin has 3 damage, so they don't get 2 free movement at the start of their turn. In order to make it to the van they needed to draw 2 action tokens out of the bag at this point.
1:08:43 - Jerry doesn't get free movement because they already have 3 damage on their board.
27:19 “Maybe splitting up would be a good idea” 😂 Yeah because it usually works like a charm in horror movies 😂
this is the best playthrough and explanation video i have seen. thank you. i know the solo rules are different but playing this way you get to play with every charactor. and the rules seem better than the solo rules on the back page of rule book.
Wonderful play through, I had zero interest in this game until your demo, now I think its going on the list to get. Touch of genius from the designers with that line of brambles and truck.
I discovered your channel thanks to this video. Very well done. You kept everything clean, concise, easy to understand, and entertaining. I was on the fence regarding the game before but now it's a must buy.
Wow, the theme really is true to the classic horror trope especially when you look at which character died first 😅
Great play-through, thanks!
Wow! I watch a little bit of these to get an idea of how the game plays, but this one hooked me in to the WHOLE THING. narrative in this game is RIVITING!!
"why cant we use the running car?"
"are you crazy? lets hide behind the chainsaws"
"smart"
one of my favorite commercials.
Love the review.. got me to purchase the game... That being said.. my group has played 5 times over Halloween and we won each time. Though it is a push your luck game... you can really slow down the game by not taking extra tokens on the draw bag... Meaning draw a bones and STOP. Or draw a photogragh and STOP!. The killer moves so slow and you get to move 2x with each character collecting tokens.. Look at the 34 minute mark. Stop after the first leather face. The girls goes next and would have moved 2 spaces.
Hope they come up with a way to make it a bit harder other than the objective cards. Still a fun game...
Thank you so much for this. It was a tremendous help!
Just bought this game today to play with friends/family! Very well done video. I'm glad I'll be able to explain how to play as soon as we open the box, thank you!
Great play through! Excited to grab this one.
I did not expect to see you doing a video for this game. Definitely saving this for when I finally receive the game, assuming Trick or Treat Studios every releases it.
Mine already shipped from trick or treat studios so hopefully u get notified soon
Great video, you explained everything perfectly!!!
I got this for Xmas... I don't do good with reading directions, so watching your playthrough helped a bunch. It's a pretty simple game. You explained it perfectly!
Thanks, I hope you enjoy it :)
I couldn’t help but laugh at some of those unlucky leather face draws. 😄
love your videos John
If im correct, franklin shouldn't have been able to move across the street with 2 free moves due to having 3 damage on him
Good catch! I am adding corrections to the subtitles and pinned comment. Thanks
Horror is not my thing. That said, this was a really enjoyable playthrough. A lot of the mechanics here seem cool. I like a good implementation of a token bag. Not quite the game for me but I wouldn't say no to trying it if someone asked me.
looks fun!
thank you so much. my dad n I were so confused on the instructions
I hope you ended up enjoying the game :)
Very good video. I haven't fully understood how doors or windows work, that is, Leatherface. So when he pass through an already broken window or door, do they stay in the door square or in the next square? Thanks
Excellent presentation, but we kept getting a bit confused when you referred to individual characters as "they."
Hello! I would like to ask you about the objectives. For example, the first one say that you need to get to dry lake with one other character, so I supose, If anorher player achive this with his/her character is enough? Or I need to move another character myself? Thank you sooo much!
Will you be making a video about Trick or Treats studios Halloween Board game?
This ^
At the 30 min mark, with deciding what to do with Franklin, could you not move one away and then move back as the 2 free movement?
9 minutes into video and not only is this game awesome but it actually makes u feel like u r in the movie...the constant unknown feeling of...is something bad about to happen
If you flee after being attacked by Leatherface and the only option you has is in the brambles, do you take a blood splatter then?
Yes because you are still ending your turn in the bramble
At 1:08:43 Jerry shouldn’t have had two free moves as he had sustained 3 blood splatters.
Good catch, I have added a correction for this.
@1:08:50 Jerry had 3 dmg but moved for free.
Good catch, I've added a correction. Thanks!
they really are making everything into a game now eh. Hope you're doing awesome Jon :D
They are! I saw a movie a few years ago that could easily be adapted into a game, called “Battleships”.
Big Ed=Lots of leftovers.
As much as I love Texas Chainsaw, I just don't know about coop. Plus most of the dudes I find to game with are not big on the fun. They just want "new" and "unique" and I mean nothing really is so it is just a lame and annoying amount of bitching most days. If I am gonna do solo I may as well just play my video games..... I honestly feel like my love for board gaming is being slowly murdered.
Why do you keep saying "they" when the characters have clearly defined genders?
I am referring to the hypothetical players who are controlling them.
Tasteless theme. Game play looks repetitive.
Why is it a tasteless theme?
Why tasteless? This is one of the most beloved horror movies of all time.
