this is major for canada and maybe other countries to push to re think how airsoft is viewed by the public and officials and who knows maybe other countries such as australia may rethink the law around airsoft

Actually, on the real steel side... handguns were basically utterly banned... cannot buy, sell, transfer, inherit, import gift, ect ect any handgun as they are now banned. Those who have them can keep them, but when they die they will be seized and destroyed. As someone who was working for his Rpal, that is now impossible. With that said, i am super happy I will be able to continue playing airsoft. From the meeting yesterday.. sounds like HPA and GBBR will be banned next time since, I quote, "they can be modified and converted into real firearms" said the liberals. What a load of bullshit...

Taiwan is great example of how you ban guns but still have a great airsoft community. Only the police and military can have guns but it's where most airsoft replicas are made.
Yah and look at how fuked theyll be if the PLA invade because of that. Civilians armed and trained in marksmanship is a major deterrence against invasions. America, Switzerland, Finland, Japan, Afghanistan and Ukraine are all good examples of this.
As A Taiwanese I would recommend Japan to the the better example in this segment since the Taiwanese police does accuse many gbbr and shell ejection owners for pocessing illegal weapon because "it can be easily modified to become lethal weapon" the way they test this is by putting in metal bb and high power gas into guns they seized from you. If it holds and managed to penetrate a 1mm thick aluminum sheet? Convicted. If it didn't hold nor penetrat the sheet? You got left with days wasted and a now broken airsoft gun. They had a petition about this practice a few years back but I'm not sure if things have changed now
Well honestly the phrasing of "emasculated" is kind of inherently slanted in typical usage, kind of a yikes for me personally... As a woman who loves the sport of airsoft and collecting and tinkering with replicas I think it's weird as hell when people pretend it's just a guy only thing. Had a few issues with the end of this video honestly but I think the most important thing is airsoft in Canada is safe for now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dude they wanna ban all guns in Canada period stop thinking ur rifle will be an exception that mentality is exactly why they banned most semi automatic rifles like the AR15 and even the M1A /M14 it’s ridiculous asf
