- Terri Nunn welcomes to the stage founding member John Crawford who plays bass along with David Diamond and Ric Olsen on guitar and Matt Reid on keyboards. These four members of the classic line-up of Berlin play their classic song "Now It's My Turn" from their "Love Life" album. Current band members Christopher Olivas plays the drums and Dave Schulz plays the keys. This is the first time all four classic line-up members have performed with Terri Nunn since their VH1 Bands Reunited show at The Roxy in 2003. This performance was from Saban Theatre on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Shot from the audience by Myles Matisse using his Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
Now It's My Turn has always been my Go To for great nostalgic feelings. Even though Rod had left, it was Berlin spreading their wings as the original band that took Pleasure Victim around the country. Seeing them at US knowing they were working on a new album was just such a significant time for me and it was the last hurrah for that version of the band. Wish they had stuck it out a little to see what may have been but we all choose our paths. This song works on so many levels and is just an example of John's amazing songcraft. I never tire of it and the memories of seeing the video for the first time, seeing that band who exploded onto the new wave music scene on the power of their own hard work, get some support and seeing what they did with it was such a fun time.
I never every get tired of seeing the classic lineup. I wish there was more early footage floating around the internet.
It'd be great if the classic Berlin line-up could do a reunion tour. John Crawford is the greatest!

When I lived in Belmont I went to visit Dave. I was like 16 and waited in the little cafe for like an hour. As he left the lady ran out and felt sorry for me I think and pointed back. He looked PISSED! Then he pulled his glasses down and looked my way and when he seen I was just a little boy he gave me the brightest smile and wave + air hug.
I’ll never forget it. I don’t even remember my first gf.. first time driving. None of it. If it’s music related though it’s almost like I can go back and relive it.
Wow! .. they sound so awesome with the original lineup. I love watching them interact while performing together as well.

Terri had her then current Berlin drummer Christopher Olivas and keyboardist Dave Schulz play here with the classic lineup. Original drummer Rod Learned and the Love Life and Count Three and Pray drummer Rob Brill weren't asked to be involved.

BENJAMIN SCISLY Diamond has played guitar since the beginning. He played it at their US Festival gig and at Live at The Palace gig. Search UA-cam and you'll find them.
Even back in the 80s, David played keyboards and guitar. Search live videos from the 80s and you'll see

Well you gotta figure that there was 3 people playing rhythm guitar, and that is what caused it to be more guitar heavy.
